Guillou, Alain.
A series of experimental fishing stations by means of bottom trarnmelnets have been conducted on the slopeof Martinique between 100 and 300 mn depth from november 1986 to march 1988, as part of a program entitled «Antillean Fisheries study» of the Pôle de Recherche Oceanologique et Halieutique Caraïbe». The species composition of the catches and the length frequencies of the potential commercial species, with a detailed analysis of their yields according to the depth and to the geographie localization are given. The whole average yield reaches 20 to 25 kg, two thirds of sharks, for 100 rn trarnmelnet set during approximately twenty hours. Furthennore, the main technical, commercial and human problems which are necessarily to be integrated and elucidated...

Morphometric Changes in Talus of Club Foot A Gross Observation in Human Foetuses International Journal of Morphology
Fazal-ur-Rehman,; Faruqi,Nafis A.
Both the feet of six human foetuses of different age groups having unilateral club feet, were dissected for morphological study. Six morphometric parameters considered for comparing gross anatomical changes in normal and deformed feet, were 1-Maximum length of the talus, 2-Longitudinal dimension of head of talus, 3-Anterior trochlear breadth, 4-Maximum medial talar height, 5-Talar neck and calcaneal angle, 6-Talocalcaneal angle. All the foetuses with congenital club feet have almost similar deformity of foot skeleton. The gross anomalies observed were the smaller size of club foot talus and increased medial and planter deviation of a stunted, misshapen head and neck region. A medial plantar subluxation of the navicular bone with a consequent deformity of...

Morphometric Measurement and Types of Articular Facets on the Talus and Calcaneus in an Anatolian Population International Journal of Morphology
Boyan,Neslihan; Ozsahin,Esin; Kizilkanat,Emine; Soames,Roger; Oguz,Ozkan.
Anatomical variations in terms of ligamentous attachments, articulations and bony morphology are common in the subtalar region. The shape of the articular facets of the talus and calcaneus and their relationship to each other are important for joint function and surgical procedures. In this study an assessment of the morphology of the articular facets of the talus and calcaneus, in an Anatolian population, was undertaken. 49 tali and 57 calcanei from Anatolian adults of unknown gender were examined. The types of articular facets on the talus and calcaneus were determined using the following classification: Type A1, the distance between the anterior and middle facets was less than 2 mm; Type A2, the distance between the anterior and middle facets was 2-5...
