Rice is a major food crop and cash crop in Thailand. In 2011, average rice production in Thailand was about 460 kg per rai, which is considered as low productivity comparing with other countries (Rice Department, 2554). The reasons relate to various factors affecting production such as soil condition, weather condition, irrigation, and farmer managements in each area.
