Genotype by environment interaction for seed yield per plant in rapeseed using AMMI model PAB

The objective of this study was to assess genotype by environment interaction for seed yield per plant in rapeseed cultivars grown in Northern Serbia by the AMMI (additive main effects and multiplicative interaction) model. The study comprised 19 rapeseed genotypes, analyzed in seven years through field trials arranged in a randomized complete block design, with three replicates. Seed yield per plant of the tested cultivars varied from 1.82 to 19.47 g throughout the seven seasons, with an average of 7.41 g. In the variance analysis, 72.49% of the total yield variation was explained by environment, 7.71% by differences between genotypes, and 19.09% by genotype by environment interaction. The research objectives were to investigate green manure species namely Crotalaria juncia on yield, yield components and nitrogen content of rice cv. Sangyodphatthalung was conducted in paddy soil condition of Phatthalung Soil Series. The experimental design was RCBD of which consisted of 7 treatments by using different seed rates (kg rai-1) as compared to chemical fertilizer i.e. 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 8-10-0 kg N-P2O5-K2O rai-1. Combining ability analysis for yield and yield components in bold grained rice (Oryza sativa L.) of Assam Acta Agron. (Palmira)

Combining ability analysis for grain yield and its components was carried out in eight parental diallel crosses of bold grained rice excluding reciprocals. The general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) effects were significant for all the characters indicating the importance of both additive and non-additive gene effects in their inheritance. The parents Ranjit followed by Matonga and Monohar Sali contributed significantly to high GCA effect towards high grain yield per hill.
