| The distribution of the land snails of the province of Zeeland, with special emphasis on Vertigo angustior (Mollusca: Gastropoda) In 2005 the land snail fauna of the coast of the province of Zeeland was mapped. In total 98 soil and litter samples were taken and on 54 localities records were gathered on sight. In total 55 land snail species were found, eight of which are on the Dutch red list. Five species, Helicodiscus singleyanus, Boetgerilla pallens, Cernuella cisalpina, Paralaoma servilis and Balea heydeni, were recorded for the first time in the province of Zeeland. Vertigo angustior was rediscovered on most of the known sites and was recorded at several new sites. |
