1) Demographic traits These data are published data of age-specific mortality rates, age-specific lengths or weights, length and age at maturity, fecundity-length relationships, and egg size for 84 populations from 49 species of primarily commercial teleost fishes. The populations included are those for which all the life history traits under study have been estimated over a period shorter than 10 years. Traits were estimated from within the ten year window or averaged across it when data were available. Only studies in which reference population, sample size, techniques used for ageing fish and counting eggs, and models used for estimating mortality were reported are included. When only a size or age range was available, the midpoint between the extreme... |

Data were collected from the regional program LOUPE (Observation of the habitat and associated communities in the context of the fisheries of the Capbreton Canyon). It consisted in the observations of two métiers practiced around the canyon. The observations were carried out between July 2011 and April 2013 on coastal boats. Observations and interviews were made on board commercial vessels. The longlines used in the hake fishery are semi-pelagic and are deployed on the edge of the Capbreton Canyon. It is an emblematic and major métier benefiting from a particular regulation as they take advantage of a prohibition of net and trawl fishing on their fishing grounds. Between 8 and 14 costal boats practice this métier during the year and the fleet... |

Dissolved Fe (dFe) concentrations were measured in the upper 1300 m of the water column in the vicinity of the Kerguelen Islands as part of the second KErguelen Ocean Plateau compared Study (KEOPS2). Concentrations ranged from 0.06 nmol L-1 in offshore, Southern Ocean waters to 3.82 nmol L-1 within Hillsborough Bay, on the north-eastern coast of the Kerguelen Islands. Direct island runoff, glacial melting and resuspended sediments were identified as important inputs of dFe that could potentially fertilise the northern part of the plateau. A significant deep dFe enrichment was observed over the plateau with dFe concentrations increasing up to 1.30 nmol L-1 close to the seafloor, probably due to sediment resuspension and pore water release. Biological uptake... |

The BENTHEDI 1977 Expedition took place in Mayotte region from March 17 to April 15, 1997, on board the Research Vessel R/V Suroît (SISMER, 2015). Trawls and dredges were operated from 150-3716 m (mean depth prospected 524 m), with a few shallow waters collections between 3-50 m. The Crustacea Decapoda of this cruise are deposited in the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris (MNHN). They have been studied later after the cruise and appear sporadically in taxonomic revisions published between 1985 and 2012. A compilation of these results is presented herein with a list à 47 Decapoda extracted on December 2, 2015 from the CRUSTA a database maintained online by Legall & Poupin (2015). Taxonomic classification follows De Grave et al. (2009) and WoRMS... |

The Programme Ocean Multidisciplinaire Meso Echelle (POMME) was designed to describe and quantify the role of mesoscale processes in the subduction of mode waters in the Northeast Atlantic. Intensive situ measurements were maintained during 1 year (September 2000 - October 2001), over a 8 degrees square area centered on 18 degrees W, 42 degrees N. In order to synthesized the in-situ physical observations, and merge them with satellite altimetry and surface fluxes datasets, a simplified Kalman filter has been designed. Daily fields of temperature, salinity, and stream function were produced on a regular grid over a full seasonal cycle. We propose here the gridded fields (KA_ files) and the in-situ datasets used by the analysis (Data_ files). |
