Embryogénie de l'huître (Ostrea edulis L.) ArchiMer
Horst, R..

Laut mir gewordener...

On two new species of the genus Acanthodrilus, Perr. from Liberia Naturalis
Horst, R..
Among the Invertebrates collected by Büttikofer and the late Sala during their journey in Liberia 2), I found two large earthworms, belonging to the genus Acanthodrilus). Though the specimens are not very well preserved, I will describe them as good as possible, our knowledge of this interesting genus of Lumbricidae being rather scanty and only based upon the examination of four species: A. obtusus Perr. and A. ungulatus Perr. from New-Caledonia, A. verticillatus Perr. from Madagascar 4) and A. kerguelenensis R. Lank. from Kerguelen Island 5).

Ein Ichthyosaurus von Ceram Naturalis
Martin, K..

On the exotic Psychids in the Leyden Museum Naturalis
Heylaerts, F.J.M..
The collection of exotic Psychids in the Leyden Museum is far from being an extensive one, as there are only four species and the larval cases of two others. One of the latter (notwithstanding its being unique) was worth to be described. Moreover the species were not, or incorrectly named and of course required revision. — Mr. Ritsema kindly allowed me to examine all the specimens and to publish the following results of my examination in the »Notes from the Leyden Museum.” 1. Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis Steph. — One ♂.

Notes on Timeliidæ Naturalis
Sharpe, R. Bowdler.
During a visit to the Leyden Museum last September I was able to examine several species of birds, which had not come under my notice during the preparation of the 7th volume of the »Catalogue of Birds”. Some of the species proved to be very distinct and I greatly regret that they have been omitted from the volume or relegated to foot-notes, as being of doubtful validity. During the whole of the time that this volume was going through the press, I was engaged in the moving of the Zoological Collections from Bloomsbury to South Kensington, and was unable to get abroad for my accustomed course of study in foreign Museums. I am sensible that the value of this volume has been somewhat impaired by these omissions, and I publish these supplementary notes, in...

Descriptions of two new species of Nitidulidæ from Sumatra Naturalis
Sidney Olliff, A..
The two species made known in the present paper were collected at Tandjong Morawa, Serdang, in N. E. Sumatra by Dr. B. Hagen. The first of these is noteworthy on account of being the only Eastern species of the subfamily Mystropinæ as yet described, all the others being South American, with the exception of Mystrops dispar of Erichson, which is from Madagascar. The types of both these insects are in the collection of the Leyden Museum.
