| Salinity is one of the environmental stresses that most affects plants' vital processes, especially germination. Brassinosteroids, including 24-epibrassinolide (EBL), have multiple actions in essential processes in plants. Thus, this research's objective was to evaluate the effects of EBL on tomato seeds' physiological conditioning on germination, growth, and production of dry seedling mass under salinity conditions. | Objetivou-se com a pesquisa avaliar os caracteres agronômicos e produtivos de híbridos de milho em dois locais. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi de blocos casualizados em esquema fatorial 11x2 (11 híbridos e dois locais) com quatro repetições. Cada parcela foi constituída por quatro linhas de cinco metros. As avaliações ocorreram nas duas linhas deixando 0,50 m de bordadura nas extremidades. | Energy cultures are emerging as viable renewable energy sources because they satisfy sustainability requirements. The present study involves a survey regarding the technological characteristics for sugarcane and sweet sorghum energy crops, in addition to their potential for bioethanol production. An exploratory survey was conducted regarding the agronomic and technological characteristics of cane and sorghum. | Black pepper (Piper nigrum L.) is the most widely used spice in the world. This crop has great economic importance in Brazil, especially in the North and Southeast regions. However, the variability in quality between cultivars is high. The objective of this study was to characterize black pepper from northeastern Pará available on the market and obtain an overview of its quality parameters. | The study aimed to evaluate the hydraulic conductivity using soil samples with undisturbed structure in the soil layers of 0-5, 5-10, 10-20, and 20-40 cm; 120 soil samples were collected. For the determination of hydraulic conductivity, the constant load permeameter was used. For geostatistical analysis, exploratory data analysis was performed using frequency histograms, determining the main measures of position and dispersion, verifying the trends for the construction of boxplot graphics, which allows the identification of discrepant points. | O uso intensivo do solo para a produção de hortaliças resulta em elevada degradação do solo e da área de cultivo. A utilização de técnicas e recursos que viabilizem a produção sob condições desfavoráveis pode ser decisiva para agricultura. | Current study is emphasizing on the estimation of heterosis for different yield attributing traits and adaptability of tomato hybrids. | Objectives of this work were to determine the sample size (number of plants) to estimate the mean of slender leaf rattlebox (Crotalaria ochroleuca) traits and investigate the relations among traits.
