| A fim de estudar o comportamento de tubérculos de batatinha - Solanum tuberosum L. - cortados em diferentes épocas após a colheita e submetidos a diferentes ambientes durante o armazenamento, foram feitos quatro, ensaios de caráter preliminar, com material de diferentes procedências. Foram plantados em Campinas, onde a altitude aproximada de 600 m não é recomendada para essa operação. Em dois dêsses ensaios foram comparados cortes longitudinais e transversais e em outros dois, sòmente no sentido longitudinal. Compararam-se produções, falhas, desenvolvimento das plantas etc, de tubérculos cortados logo após a colheita e antes da brotação, com os mesmos dados dos tubérculos cortados depois de brotados, pouco antes do plantio. | Critical Path Planning and Scheduling is a labour management aid considerably in advance of those previously available. First devised for the U.S. Navy in 1958, it divides project programming into two phases planning, and scheduling. In the planning phase a graphic representation of all activity relations is obtained by constructing an arrow network diagram. In the scheduling phase, duration times are assigned to activities and the three floats (spare time) available to each are computed. This allows the determination of the critical path of the project. | Lorsqu'il faut se contenter d'espaces restreints, comme c'est le cas dans le bâtiment des singes du jardin zoologique d'Anvers, il peut arriver facilement que des représentants de différentes espèces soient logés dans une même cage. Ce fut entre autre le cas d'un mâle cercopithèque mona, Cercopithecus mona mona (Schreber), et d'une femelle singe argenté, Cercopithecus mitis doggetti Pocock (anciennement l'espèce était connue sous le nom C. leucampyx Fischer). Cette dernière avait été accouplée auparavant à un mâle de la même espèce; le jeune qui vint au monde ne vécut que 44 jours; lorsqu'il naquit, son père était déjà mort. | Au cours de ce travail, nous nous sommes efforcés de rendre compte des principaux caractères de l'ostréiculture méditerranéenne, particulièrement dans l'étang de Thau, en situant le plus exactement possible les taux de croissance observés, les rendements obtenus et les principaux facteurs qui influencent cette croissance. De cette étude, il se dégage que l'étang de Thau constitue un milieu particulièrement favorable à l'élevage des huîtres. Cependant, nous avons vu que le taux de croissance présentait des variations locales importantes : excellent en de nombreux points, il n'est que moyen en beaucoup d'autres. | In het standaardwerk „Die Säugetiere" van Max Weber (1904) treffen wij op p. 550 de taxonomie aan van de Trichechidae, welke thans Odobenidae worden genoemd. Op genoemde pagina lezen wij: „Pliocäne Reste aus England und Belgien beweisen die frühere grössere Verbreitung". Pliocene overblijfselen uit ons land waren dus in 1904 blijkbaar nog niet bekend. In 1906 werd in Nederland de eerste duidelijke aanwijzing gevonden van een fossiele Odobenus. Een visser vond toen namelijk tegenover Breskens, Zeeuwsch Vlaanderen, in de Wester-Schelde een schedel met de beide slagtanden. Hieronder hoop ik op deze en dergelijke vondsten terug te komen. | This paper gives a survey of the forms of Scorpiurus muricatus L. In contradistinction to Thellung who distinguished in his “Flore adventice de Montpellier” 4 subspecies, the present authors subdivide the species into 2 subspecies, each with some varieties. They can be identified with the aid of the following key. In using this key, one must be aware of the fact that several transitions between the subspecies and the varieties exist. 1. Calyx-teeth triangular, shorter than to about as long as the tube. Pod loosely coiled, almost in one plane. Dit kan eigenlijk alleen met verse of zeer schoon geprepareerde exemplaren. Goede kenmerken zijn echter te vinden in de copulatieorganen 1), zowel bij de mannelijke als bij de vrouwelijke individuen. Bij de mannelijke organen ziet men in ventraal aanzicht de volgende onderdelen (fig. 1) : het negende sterniet (s), de ventrale (ν) en de dorsale (d) plaat van de aedeagus, en daarnaast, bij de meeste soorten, de staafvormige zijkanten van het achtste en negende tergiet (t). | Na de excursie naar de Langstraat en omgeving in 1961, waarvan een kort verslag te vinden is in Gorteria 1, no. 4, 1962, p. 30-31, werd in 1962 de zomerexcursie gehouden in de omgeving van Woerden van 9 tot 14 juli. In totaal werden ruim 500 soorten genoteerd in de volgende I.V.O.N.- uurhokken: 31-34; 31-35; 31-44; 31-45; 31-46; 31-54; 31-55; 38-13; 38-14 en 38-25. De zomerexcursie-1963 werd gehouden in de omgeving van Rhenen. Tijdens deze excursie, die plaats vond van 15-20 juli werden ruim 750 soorten genoteerd, waaronder vele adventieven van het graanoverslagterrein bij Wageningen. De volgende I.V.O.N.-uurhokken werden bezocht: 32-46; 32-56; 39-16; 39-17; 39-24; 39-25; 39-26; 39-27; 39-36; 39-46 en 39-47. |
