| O processo de germinação de sementes e emergência de plântulas dependem da disponibilidade de água e oxigênio, além da temperatura do substrato. Objetivou-se avaliar a emergência e o crescimento inicial de plântulas de diferentes lotes de milho. O presente experimento foi realizado em casa de vegetação, onde foram analisadas as seguintes variáveis: emergência, computando-se a porcentagem de plântulas normais, plântulas mortas, plântulas anormais, sementes duras e comprimento da parte aérea e da raiz de seis lotes de sementes de milho. | Objetivou-se com esta pesquisa avaliar o rendimento forrageiro, as características agronômicas e morfométricas das plantas e as perdas, perfil fermentativo e composição bromatológica de silagens de genótipos de milheto. Para avaliação das características agronômicas e morfométricas dos genótipos utilizou-se o delineamento experimental em blocos casualizados, com cinco repetições. Na fase de avaliação dos silos experimentais o delineamento passou a ser inteiramente casualizado, com quatro repetições. Foram testados os cultivares Sauna B, CMS 01, ADR 500, BRS 1501 e CMS 03. | This study aimed to evaluate fermentation losses and the fermentation profile of cactus pear silage with buffel grass predried. Five levels of inclusion of buffel grass pre-dried in cactus pear silage (0%; 15%; 25%; 35% and 45% on a dry matter basis) were evaluated with 6 replications, in a completely randomised design. After 90 storage days, silos were opened and silages were analysed. | The aim of the study was to evaluate the carcass characteristics, proximate composition, and sensorial attributes of meat from sheep fed diets in which buffelgrass silage replaced corn silage. Thirty-two intact male crossbred Santa Inês sheep with an average live weight of 20.09 ± 2.0 kg were housed in individual stalls and allotted at random to four treatments in which corn silage was replaced by buffelgrass silage at the levels of 0 (control), 33.3%, 66.6%, and 100%. | The objective of this study was to evaluate the characteristics and recovery of minerals in silages of sorghum cv. IPA 2502 irrigated with different leaching fractions of brackish water. Sorghum cultivation was carried out in the field in a randomised block design, with four replications and four irrigation leaching fractions (0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%). From the harvested plant material, five silos per treatment, with five repetitions, were arranged in a completely randomised design for ensiling. | Objetivou-se avaliar o consumo de água ofertado por bebedouros e provenientes das dietas via cocho em ovinos alimentados com silagens de diferentes forrageiras tropicais do Semiárido. Foram utilizados 32 cordeiros sem padrão de racial definido, com idade média de seis meses e peso corporal inicial médio de 17,61±2,63 kg, distribuídos em um delineamento inteiramente casualizado recebendo silagens de 4 forrageiras (erva-sal, capim buffel, gliricídia e pornunça) e 8 repetições. | This study aimed to evaluate the correlations between mineral profile, physical and chemical characteristics, and proximate composition of ewe meat receiving different water supply levels (100% - ad libitum group; 80%; 60% and 40% ad libitum group). | A Língua Azul é uma doença re-emergente que causa aborto em vacas, queda do desempenho reprodutivo, perda de condição corporal e redução na produção e leite. A ocorrência dessa doença está relacionada à presença de vetores transmissores. No Brasil, apesar da existência de poucos estudos sobre a ocorrência dos vetores dessa doença, levantamentos sorológicos indicam a circulação do vírus da Língua Azul em rebanhos bovinos, inclusive no Pantanal. |

| The objective was to evaluate the fermentation profile, aerobic stability, chemical composition, and mineral content of silages of mango combined with cocoa pod husk meal. A completely randomized design was adopted, including four levels (65, 70, 75, and 80%) and five repetitions, totaling 20 experimental silos that were opened after 90 days of sealing. | The objective was to evaluate the forage yield and structural responses of spineless cactus ?Orelha de Elefante Mexicana? (OEM) (Opuntia stricta (Haw.) Haw) at different planting densities. The experimental design was a randomized block with five treatments and four replicates, during two production cycles of 12 months each. The evaluated densities were 20,000; 25,000; 33,333; 50,000; and 100,000 plants ha-1.
