The objective of this work was to evaluate the dry matter production of elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) genotypes, managed under intermittent stocking. A completely randomized design was used, with two genotypes and three replicates. The treatments consisted of factorial combinations (2x2x2) of genotypes ('BRS Kurumi' and the clone CNPGL 00‑1‑3), two light interception levels (LI) at the onset of grazing (90 and 95%), and two post‑grazing canopy heights (30 and 50 cm). A total of 24 Holstein x Zebu crossbred heifers were used. The stocking density varied in order to finish the grazing periods in two days. The aim of this study was to evaluate during the dry and rainy seasons the morphogenesis traits of two clones of dwarf elephant grass under different management strategies. The study was conducted in a factorial 2 × 2 × 3 design, using two clones, one green and one purple, two residual heights, 25 and 45 cm, and three frequencies of defoliation according to the light interception of 90, 95 and 100%. The design was a randomized block with three replications. The variables were leaf elongation and leaf senescence rate, stem elongation rate and phyllochron. A face sul da região da Serra Negra está localizada entre os municípios de Rio Preto e Santa Bárbara do Monte Verde no estado de Minas Gerais. A região é marcada por um relevo montanhoso e vegetação formada por Floresta Ombrófila Densa. Os estudos foram conduzidos em altitudes entre 800 a 1.200 m onde os morcegos foram capturados em redes de neblina instaladas principalmente no interior e borda de mata. Durante um período de 14 meses e um esforço de captura de 22.140 m²r.h, foram capturados 246 morcegos pertencentes a 15 espécies, 13 gêneros e 2 famílias: Phyllostomidae (12 espécies) e Vespertilionidae (3 espécies).
