ABSTRACT This work aimed to study the spatial autocorrelation of the total static capacity storage, the total number of warehouses in 2013/2014 (CONAB) and the average of the total grain production (soybean, corn 1st and 2nd crops and wheat) in the harvest years 2008/2009 to 2013/2014 (SEAB) in Paraná State, Brazil. The study was based on Moran's global autocorrelation index, Moran's local and Moran's bivariate correlation. It was possible to identify regions with low and high total grain production. There was positive spatial autocorrelation for the Total Static Storage Capacity (TSSC) and Total Quantity of Warehouses (TQW). Object-based classifiers, however, also consider shape and texture, firstly segmenting the image, and then classifying individual objects. The aim of this study was to group temporal profiles of 10-day composites NDVI product by similarity, which was obtained by the SPOT Vegetation sensor, for municipalities with high soybean production in the state of Paraná, Brazil, in the 2005/2006 cropping season. Data mining is a valuable tool that allows extracting knowledge from a database, identifying valid, new, potentially useful and understandable patterns. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to identify homogeneous rainfall zones in the winter and summer 1st and 2nd crops, in the state of Paraná, Brazil. The zones were defined by clustering using the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm to transform seasonal rainfall series. Monthly average rainfall data collected from 157 weather stations for 20 years (1996 to 2015) were employed. The results show that the number of homogeneous zones varied among growing seasons. In the current study, we performed a soybean production spatial distribution analysis in Paraná State. Seven crop-year data, from 2003-04 to 2009-10, obtained from the Paraná Department of Agriculture and Supply (SEAB) were used to develop a Boxmap for each crop-year, show soybean production throughout this time interval. Moran's index was used to measure spatial autocorrelation among municipalities at an aggregate level, while LISA index local correlation. This study aimed at identifying different conditions of coffee plants after harvesting period, using data mining and spectral behavior profiles from Hyperion/EO1 sensor. The Hyperion image, with spatial resolution of 30 m, was acquired in August 28th, 2008, at the end of the coffee harvest season in the studied area. RESUMO O Estado do Paraná caracteriza-se por uma grande variabilidade de épocas de semeadura (DS) e, consequentemente, pelo desenvolvimento máximo vegetativo (DMDV), colheita (DC) e ciclo (CI) para a cultura da soja. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estimar essas datas para o período de primavera-verão do ano-safra de 2011/2012, por meio de séries temporais de imagens do Índice de Vegetação Realçado (do inglês Enhanced Vegetation Index - EVI) do sensor Modis (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer).
