Le tournesol est une culture d’intérêt que l’on rencontre dans des situations de sécheresse et de sols pauvres. Il est considéré adapté à la sécheresse, bien que les bases physiologiques et les efforts d’amélioration pour la tolérance à la sécheresse restent encore insuffisants. Les agronomes qui conçoivent des modèles de culture et les généticiens n’ont pas, jusqu’à présent, partagé la même vision du choix de génotype pour améliorer une production. This study was conducted to identify physiological traits associated with cold tolerance in sunflower and to identify the genomic regions involved in their variation. A population of 98 recombinant inbred lines(RILs) and their two parentswere sown in the field as usual sowing date (control) and one or two months earlier (long-term low temperature treatments). Genetic control of protein, oil and fatty acids content under partial drought stress and late sowing conditions in sunflower (Helianthus annuus) Inra

The purpose of the present study was to map quantitative trait locus (QTLs) associated with percentage of seed protein, oil and fatty acids content under different conditions in a population of recombinant inbred lines (RILs) of sunflower. Three independent field experiments were conducted with well-, partial-irrigated and late-sowing conditions in randomized complete block design with three replications. High significant variation among genotypes is observed for the studied traits in all conditions. Several specific and non-specific QTLs for the aforementioned traits were detected. A set of sunflower recombinant inbred lines (RILs) was used to study agronomical traits under greenhouse and field conditions each with two water treatments and three replications. The difference among RILs was significant for all the traits studied in all conditions; and water treatment*RILs interaction was also observed for most of the traits in both field and greenhouse conditions. Because of the low rate of drought stress, this part of field data are not informative. Several quantitative trait loci (QTLs) were identified for yield-related traits with the percentage of phenotypic variance explained by QTLs (R2) ranging from 4% to 40%. QTL mapping of protein content and seed characteristics under water-stress conditions in sunflower Inra

Le but de cette étude était d’identifier les régions génomiques contrôlant la teneur en protéines de la graine, la masse de l’amande, la masse de la coque ainsi que la densité des graines en conditions de stress hydrique chez le tournesol (Helianthus annuus L.). Les expériences ont été réalisées à l’aide d’un dispositif en tiroirs (« split-plot » pour le régime hydrique et les lignées recombinantes fixées) avec trois blocs chacun dans deux expériences (en serre et au champ). Une variation phénotypique très significative a été observée entre les génotypes pour tous les caractères ainsi que pour l’interaction régime hydrique × génotype.
