This work evaluated the effect of genotype by environment interaction in Andean common bean lines with white grains, in Central Southern Brazil, to identify lines with high agronomic performance, stability and adaptability, aiming to meet domestic demand and to increase the Brazilian participation in the foreign market of common bean. Nineteen trials with twelve Andean lines were conducted in 2007, 2008 and 2009, in Central Southern Brazil. Grain yield and other agronomic traits were evaluated. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and of adaptability/stability using Annicchiarico and modified AMMI methods. Significant differences were found between lines for all traits evaluated. This manuscript reports on the application of microsatellite markers to assess the effectiveness of controlled crosses and assess the genetic identity of seed samples from a same common bean cultivar (BRS Estilo). The DNA was extracted from leaf tissue collected from F1 plants and their parents as well as from seed samples of the cv. BRS Estilo by the alkaline lysis method. In all cases, genotyping was carried out with 24 microsatellite markers distributed in four multiplex panels with six markers each. Of the 392 F1 plants analyzed, obtained from 21 different biparental crosses, 325 (82.91%) was confirmed as real hybrids by the molecular analysis. Despite important biotic stresses to common bean, Anthracnose (ANT) and Angular Leaf Spot (ALS) can cause losses of up to 80 % and occur in more than 60 countries around the world. Genetic resistance is the most sustainable strategy to manage these diseases. Thus, we aimed to (1) identify new SNP markers associated with ALS and ANT resistance loci in elite common bean lines, and (2) provide a functional characterization of the DNA sequences containing the identified SNP markers. Este trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar a reação de diferentes linhagens de feijoeiro comum quanto à reação à ferrugem, doença incitada pelo fungo Uromyces appendiculatus. Foram testadas 22 linhagens em dois ensaios de campo na época das águas de 2012, sendo um instalado em Santo Antônio de Goiás, GO e outro em Ponta Grossa, PR. |
