| O presente trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de identificar, caracterizar e avaliar a agrobiodiversidade e sua função como mantenedora da atividade agrícola/florestal praticada em áreas de cultivo tradicional nos municípios de Antonina e Morretes, Paraná. Para isto foram avaliados 20 sistemas produtivos cujos tamanhos compreenderam de 1 a 3 módulos fiscais. As avaliações foram feitas por meio de observações diretas no campo e análise fitossociológica identificando as espécies e obtendo dados para cálculo do índice de diversidade presente em cada município, para isso os índices de Shannon-Weaver e Simpson para determinação de riqueza e dominância, essas informações embasaram a determinação da agrobiodiversidade das propriedades avaliadas, os resultados... |

| This study was carried out in order to characterize and evaluate the home gardens in Machipanda, Manica Province (Mozambique). Interviews were conducted at 37 heads of households. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. To facilitate information understanding and analysis, they were grouped into a SWOT Matrix, so that its components: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in relation to the backyards studied, were highlighted. The backyards were mostly irregular, with an area ranging from 400-5,000 m2 with average of 770.27 m2.
