| Identification of relevant social impact indicators for a Social Life Cycle Assessment (SLCA) is still difficult and poorly documented (Jorgensen, et al, 2009). In aquaculture systems, the studies based on social aspects are essentially focused on manpower or on conflicts with other activities . In the PISCEnLit project**, we aim to broaden the vision of social impacts of fish farming systems using a new approach of SLCA. We studied fish farming pond systems in France (Lorraine and Brenne) and Indonesia (Tangkit Baru and Kumpeh Ulu in Sumatra island). | Little work dealing with the evaluation of aquaculture system sustainability has so far been undertaken on a global and comparative basis. Moreover, such work is mostly based on very unbalanced approaches in terms of the dimensions of sustainable development that are taken into account. The approach adopted in this article is designed to encompass all the dimensions of sustainability including the institutional one (governance). | Over a 2-year period at the Sukamandi station (West Java, Indonesia), 87 #P. hypophthalmus$ females selected on the basis of a modal oocyte diameter greater than 1.0 mm were treated with Ovaprim (n=77) or hCG (n=10) to induce oocyte maturation and ovulation. The two hormonal treatment led to similar results in terms of ovulation percentage (86 and 90%), hatching rates (69 plus or minus 28 and 82 plus or minus 11%) and relative fecundity (167,000 plus or minus 18,000 and 128,000 plus or minus 60,000 eggs/kg, with Ovaprim and hCG respectively. | Ce guide a été réalisé dans le cadre du projet de recherche pluridisciplinaire PISCEnLIT financé par l’Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR, programme SYSTERRA). L’objectif était d’identifier des voies d’intensification écologique de l’aquaculture à partir de cas d’étude diversifiés. Ce guide est le fruit d’une co-construction rassemblant des chercheurs de diverses disciplines des sciences sociales et des sciences du vivant ainsi que des représentants d’institutions et d’organisations de producteurs dans le domaine de l’aquaculture, en France et dans les pays partenaires (Brésil, Indonésie). |

| One of the main problems that has to be faced by #Pangasius hypophthalmus$ breeders is the high mortality of the larvae, which can be a consequence of both cannibalism and bacterial diseases. The aim of this study was to explore the possible sources of #Aeromonas hydrophila$ that may result in an infection of #Pangasius hypophthalmus$ larvae.
