De eerste waarnemingen van de pseudoschorpioen Larca lata in Nederland (Pseudoscorpiones: Garypoidea: Larcidae) In dit artikel wordt Larca lata (Hansen, 1884) voor het eerst voor Nederland vermeld. In 1968 werd een vrouwtje van deze soort gevonden tussen braakballen van een kerkuil, op de zolder van een kerk in Vorchten (Gelderland). Op dezelfde plaats werd 1,5 jaar later een mannetje verzameld. De identiteit van de dieren bleef lange tijd ongewis. Pas later bleken de dieren tot Larca lata te behoren, toen de grote variatie binnen deze soort duidelijk werd (Gardini 1983, Johnson & Legg 1996). Omdat de soort zo variabel is, wordt in dit artikel een uitgebreide beschrijving van de Nederlandse exemplaren gegeven.

Checklist and identification key to the pseudoscorpions of the Netherlands (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) In this paper all new localities are mentioned of 23 known species of pseudoscorpions in the Netherlands. Chthonius orthodactylus (Leach, 1817), Chthonius dacnodes Navás, 1918, Neobisium carpenteri (Kew, 1910) and Chernes cimicoides (Fabricius, 1793) are presented as new to the Dutch fauna. A key to identify the Dutch species is presented.

A large number of new localities for Aphelolpium scitulum, A. brachytarsus, A. thibaudi, P. arubense arubense, P. a. variabile, P. confusum and P. granulatum are reported. Two new identification keys are given: an adapted and extended key to the Caribbean genera of the pseudoscorpion family Olpiidae and a revised key to the species of the genus Pachyolpium Beier from the West Indies.

Two new species of pseudoscorpions are described: Pachyolpium confusum spec. nov. from St. Eustatius (Statia) and Amblyolpium martinensis spec. nov. from St. Martin (Sint Maarten). A large number of new localities of the pseudoscorpion Aphelolpium scitulum Hoff, 1964 from Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire, are reported. The great intraspecific variation in material of this species from Curacao and Aruba has been documented. A second species has been recognized: A. brachytarsus sp. Nov., occurring on Aruba.

De ondersoorten van de pseudoschorpioen Dactylochelifer latreillei in Nederland (Pseudoscorpiones: Cheliferidae) Van de pseudoschorpioen Dactylochelifer latreillei zijn twee ondersoorten bekend, de ‘zuidelijke’ latreillei en de ‘noordelijke’ septentrionalis. Onderzoek aan het Nederlandse collectiemateriaal bracht aan het licht dat D. l. latreillei in het binnenland voorkomt en D. l. septentrionalis in de kustduinen. Mogelijk is de aanwezigheid van helm Ammophila arenaria van doorslaggevend belang voor het voorkomen van D. l. septentrionalis.
