Abstract: The development and implementation of strategies to assist safe and effective transport and storage of pellets in containers and indoor facilities without heating systems are challenging. This study primarily aimed to reshape the organic fraction of municipal solid waste into a liquid-state binder in order to develop freezing?defrosting-proof non-wood pellets. O sorgo biomassa é uma alternativa para a geração de energia renovável pela queima em caldeiras, destacando-se por sua alta produtividade e possibilidade de mecanização de todos os seus processos agrícolas. Uma alternativa comum para a redução da umidade de culturas é a aplicação de herbicidas dessecantes, contudo, não há pesquisas que elucidem a perda de umidade da massa colhida de sorgo com a aplicação de dessecantes na parte aérea, antes da colheita. Resumo:O sorgo-sacarino apresentou um crescimento de interesse para cultivo em área de reformas de canaviais associadas a usinas sucroenergéticas em função da possibilidade de produção de etanol, na abertura da safra da cana-de-açúcar, sendo seu ponto de colheita normalmente identificado pela fenologia da planta, após o florescimento da cultura. Abstract: Development of strategies to ensure grazing systems are sustainably produced in harsh environments, while not fertilizing them conventionally, is challenging. Figuring out the extent to which dose of inoculation and period of watering can positively influence the establishment of an effective symbiosis between U. brizantha cv. Marandu and Azospirillum brasilense is the point of this research. The treatment consisted of mixing 1 kg seeds with the inoculant of the strains Ab-V5 and Ab-V6 at 5, 10, 20, and 40 mL kg-1, 2 x 108 CFU mL-1. In view of the concern for sustainable development in its economic, social and environmental dimensions, the present study was developed to examine the influence of a product based on the amino acid proline on the productive performance of coffee plants when applied foliarly. Abstract: Plant resistance inducers are cost-effective and environmentally pleasing strategies of plant protection to mitigate biotic and abiotic agents threatening food safety and energy security. We, accordingly, present jasmonic acid and k-phosphite as low-cost strategies to enhance productive yield and technological quality of sugarcane crop. Exogenously treatment of the sugarcane variety SP81-3250 consisted of carrying out foliar application of jasmonic acid at 1, 1.5 and 2 ml L-1 and K-phosphite at 2, 4 and 6 ml L-1 before crop flowering. Abstract: This study evaluates the emergence and initial development of sugarcane cultivars with different bud sizes, based on the system of pre-sprouted seedlings (PSS). Early sugarcane cultivars (RB966928, RB855156 and IACSP91-1099) were evaluated. These evaluations comprised three positions of the sugarcane stem (tip, middle and base) and four types of sugarcane propagules (mini-stem and 3 bud sizes with different diameters: 22 mm (1), 29 mm (2) and 35 mm (3)). Abstract: Literary references on the quality of juice of sweet sorghum crop following chemical ripening agents spraying are rarely found up, mostly concerning to the trinexapac-ethyl. Accordingly, this article shares an unpublished content about chemically-induced physiological ripening on the sweet sorghum cv. CMSXS-646 by spraying trinexapac-ethyl before the crop flowering. A CO2-pressurized backpack sprayer, with flat spray nozzles, was employed to exogenously spray the plant growth inhibitor at 0.4, 0.8 and 1.6 l ha-1 on 90-days-old plants. Abstract: Heavy metal-contaminated areas are a recurring problem in a society that increasingly demands fossil fuels, pesticides and fertilizers. Traditional methods to recover these areas are generally very expensive, and phytoremediation can be a solution for their decontamination by removing these contaminants from the soil through the harvest of the plants grown in the affected site, as these elements are extracted from the soil.
