Contribution a l'etude des voies de penetration de parasites fongiques des nectarines Monilia laxa (Ascomycete-Discomycete) et Rhizopus stolonifer (Zygomycete-Mucorale) Inra

Le comportement de conidies de M. taxa et de spores de R. stolonifer déposés à la surface de nectarine, non blessée, a été suivi en microscopie électronique à balayage. Les conidies de M. laxa germent abondamment à la surface des nectarines et une forte proportion des fruits contaminés sont infectés. Parfois des «figures de pénétration» d’hyphes mycéliens par des «microfissures cuticulaires» sont observées, bien que la plupart de ces microfissures ne semblent exercer aucune attraction vis-à-vis du mycélium de M. laxa. Aucune pénétration directe du champignon à travers la cuticule n’a été observée. Les spores de R. stolonifer ne peuvent germer à la surface des nectarines en l’absence de substrat nutritif. Pénétration de Rosellinia necatrix (Hart.) Berl. dans les racines du pommier en conditions de contamination artificielle Inra

Rosellinia necatrix (Hart.) Berl. est un champignon ascomycète, agent du « pourridié laineux » de certaines plantes ornementales et cultures fruitières. Cet article est consacré à une description de la pénétration de R. necatrix dans les racines du pommier. Les inoculations de jeunes plants cultivés en axénie, en pots et en caissons à brouillard, ont montré que l’infection se déroule en quatre phases faisant intervenir de la part du champignon pathogène des organes agrégés bien différents : - prolifération externe sous la forme de toiles mycéliennes ou de cordons formés d’articles indifférenciés ; - formation d’un « sclérote de pénétration » constitué d’un cortex mélanisé à structure pseudoparenchymateuse et d’une medulla blanche à structure...

The ascomycetous fungus Nectria haematococca, (asexual name Fusarium solani), is a member of a group of >50 species known as the "Fusarium solani species complex". Members of this complex have diverse biological properties including the ability to cause disease on >100 genera of plants and opportunistic infections in humans. The current research analyzed the most extensively studied member of this complex, N. haematococca mating population VI (MPVI). Several genes controlling the ability of individual isolates of this species to colonize specific habitats are located on supernumerary chromosomes. Transgenic rice as a novel production system for Melanocarpus and Pycnoporus laccases Inra

Laccases have numerous biotechnological applications, among them food processing. The widespread use of laccases has increased the demand for an inexpensive and safe source of recombinant enzyme. We explored the use of a rice-based system for the production of two fungal laccases derived from the ascomycete Melanocarpus albomyces and the basidiomycete Pycnoporus cinnabarinus. High-expression levels of active recombinant laccases were achieved by targeting expression to the endosperm of rice seeds.
