Cervical relaxation with association of estradiol benzoate, cloprostenol and oxytocin allows a cervical transposition and embryo collection in sheep by the non-surgical method (Fonseca et al., Theriogenology, 86: 144-151, 2016). However, in recipients, the use of this protocol becomes impracticable due to the use of cloprostenol, which is a luteolytic agent. The study was conducted at the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute (BLRI), Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh with the objectives of comparing the body characteristics and body weight of three Indigenous chicken genotypes namely Common Desi, Hilly and Naked Neck. Of the four hundred and eighty nine birds analyzed the proportion of Common Desi, Naked Neck and Hilly chicken were 49.49, 24.95 and 25.56% respectively. The most predominant plumage color was reddish black (33.13%). Four types of shank colors were most frequently observed, i.e. white (39.87%), yellow (37.22%), black (20.04%) and mixed (2.87%). The study was carried out using body weights at several ages of Red Chittagong cattle performed on two management systems viz in-farm and in-field. This paper contributes to the growing literature on how obesity spreads by empirically investigating whether social norms affect soft drink consumption choices. Combining market level soft drink scanner data and survey data with consumer level characteristics, we employ reduced form regressions to test whether social norms of body weight affects per capita consumption of total or caloric soft drink consumption, on a market level. Avaliou-se as associações entre características de desempenho e eficiência alimentar com o comportamento ingestivo de 309 touros da raça Nelore confinados em baias coletivas equipadas com cochos eletrônicos. Resumo: Foram coletados 41 pares de testículos e epidídimos. Antes do abate, verificou-se a idade, a circunferência escrotal (CE) e o peso corporal (PC) dos animais. Após o abate, os testículos e os epidídimos foram mensurados. Os testículos (PT) e epidídimos (PTE) foram separados e pesados aos pares e depois separadamente. The aim of present study was to compare the changes in thyroid gland with the reproductive cycle of S. heathi. Thyroid showed marked seasonal variation in weight, quantity of colloid and follicular epithelial height, suggesting the thyroid gland to be inactive during quiescence and winter dormancy and active during the time of recrudescence and breeding similarly to the testicular cycle. Plasma thyroxin (T4) concentration showed a significant seasonal change with high concentration during breeding and post-breeding and low concentration during quiescence. The objective of this study was to characterize body biometrics of Santa Ines sheep during growth. Data from 4,038 animals, males and females, with ages from four to 36 months, from different herds participating in the National Agricultural Fair in Bahia from 2003 to 2008 were used. Durante os anos de 1988 a 1990 foi conduzido um experimento na Embrapa Caprinos, em Sobral, Ce, com o objetivo de avaliar a composicao quimica da dieta de caprino, em caatinga natural. Foram utilizados cabras SRD, adultas, secas sendo, 15 fistuladas no esofago, duas fistuladas no rumen e 20 nao fistuladas. Os animais foram mantidos em caatinga natural numa taxa de lotacao de 1,6ha/animal/ano. As coletas de extrusa e as pesagens dos animais foram procedidas a cada 28 dias. Os dados foram analisados por estacao: chuvosa(fev. a maio), transicao(jun. a set.) e seca(out. a jan.).
