Mussel samples have been placed in plastic-mesh bags hung on wood poles (« bouchots »), at 4 locations of a mussel culture area in the bay of Vilaine (South Brittany, France). They have been monitored for one year, from February 2000 to February 2001. The recorded growth have been rather fast (plus 1.2 g per month between April and September), and mortalities moderate (between 15% to 25%), with better results in southern stations, further from the estuary. Among the physico-chemical parameters recorded, the most striking were very low salinities (below 10 g/l) recorded for days, after heavy rains. As a part of hydrological sampLing operation in South Brittany, 8 transects for 26 sampling stations were made in order to determine horizontal, and vertical distribution of Dinophysis sacculus in the 10 m layer. Un like to 1986, results do not show any correlations between Dinophysis concentrations and stability index. That may, nevertheless, be due to lower cells densities in 1987 when compared to 1986. A thermal, gradient, lower than in 1986, is still observable in the Bouthern of Loire Mouth. And, as a last point, when chlorophyll a concentrations are higher in - 10 m layer than in surface layer (Audierne and Noirmoutier areas), it can be observed hight densities of an other toxie Dinoflagellate : Gyrodinium aureolum . |

L'activité du laboratoire « Ressources Halieutiques » de Lorient s'inscrit dans la mission de service public de l'Institut en général et des laboratoires côtiers en particulier. Elle comprend un volet « recueil et archivage » des données biologiques et halieutiques, une partie « recherche et application de la recherche » pour l'évaluation des pêcheries, et une partie « avis et expertises ». Ces activités s'inscrivent, en 2004, dans les nouveaux programmes SIDEPEC (Systèmes d'information, économie et diagnostic de l'exploitation et de l'évolution des ressources), ECOPEC (Démarche écosystémique pour l'évaluation des pêcheries) et Approche intégrée Golfe de Gascogne.
