| O ensaio foi conduzido no campo experimental da UEPAE Porto Velho, da EMBRAPA, durante o periodo de marco/1987 a novembro/1988. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi em blocos casualizados com tres repeticoes. Os tratamentos consistiram de duas cultivares de capim-elefante (Cameroon e Ana) e tres frequencias de corte (28, 42 e 56 dias). As parcelas mediam 4,0 x 4,0 m tendo uma area util de 4,0 m2. Resultados permitiram concluir que o aumento do intervalo entre corte, em ambas as cvs. de capim-elefante implicou em maiores rendimentos de MS e PB, contudo, provocou decrescimos significativos nos teores de PB. | O desempenho agronômico de Panicum maximum cv. Tobiatã, em cultivo puro e consorciado com cinco leguminosas forrageiras tropicais (Desmodium ovalifolium CIAT-350, Centrosema acutifolium CIAT-5277 e CIAT-5112, C. pubescens CIAT-438 e Pueraria phaseoloides CIAT-9900), foi avaliado em ensaio conduzido em Ouro Preto d'Oeste, Rondônia. As consorciações foram mais eficientes na produção de forragem que a gramínea em cultivo puro. | ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to establish the biochemical parameters of the abaxial wall, dorsal wall and sole of the hoof of the medial thoracic, lateral, and medial pelvic digits of buffalos. | Trinta e sete (37) acessos do genero Paspalum foram plantados em área de campo cerrado do Amapá, visando selecionar material com potencial para essas áreas. O trabalho foi conduzido em Latossolo Amarelo de textura franco-argilo-arenosa, acido e de baixa fertilidade natural. Segundo Koppen, o clima e do tipo Ami-tropical chuvoso, com dois períodos de precipitação bem definidos: chuvoso de janeiro a junho e estiagem de julho a dezembro. | The objective of this study was to estimate the urinary creatinine excretion by the shrunk body weight (SBW). In experiment I, 32 Nellore bulls with initial body weight of 259±24.9 kg and 14±1 months-old were used. The group was divided in four animals to maintenance and twenty eight animals feeding ad libitum and separated in four groups; each group was slaughtered at different times of feedlot (42, 84, 126 and 168 days). | Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho zootécnico de tilápias alimentadas com rações comercias, contendo diferentes níveis de proteína bruta (28, 32 e 36% PB). O experimento teve duração de 227 dias e foi realizado em 12 tanques-redes com 2,0m-3, instalados em uma represa rural com 6.600m-2, localizada em Monte Alegre do Sul, SP. Os tanques foram estocados com 125 peixes m-3 por tanque com peso médio inicial de 40,8, 39,4 e 42,1g, respectivamente, para os três tratamentos. | The objective of this study was to evaluate the divergence of bromatological and fermentative characteristics of silages of 25 sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) hybrids. The experimental design was completely randomized with 25 treatments and four replications. The mean values of pH differed with variation from 3.45 to 3.87 for hybrids 866005 and 870051, respectively, and the mean pH value was 3.66. | Nutrition for broilers under high temperatures is extremely important for brazilian broiler chicken industry because the amounts of consumed nutrients and environmental temperature have great effects on bird performance and carcass quality. Among diet nutrients, protein has the highest heat increment; thus, during many years, diets with low protein level were recommended in order to reduce heat production in broiler chickens under heat stress. | The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of fertilization with zinc or boron on the growth and dry matter production, nutritional value and accumulation of nutrients in white oats. The study comprised two experiments conducted in glasshouses, the first consisting of the application of four doses of zinc (0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 mg/dm³) in the form of zinc sulphate (20% Zn), and the second consisting of the application of four doses of boron (0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 mg/dm³) in the form of Borax (11% B).
