Gontijo,Júlia Brandão; Andrade,Gracielle Vidal Silva; Baldotto,Marihus Altoé; Baldotto,Lílian Estrela Borges.
ABSTRACT: Inoculants containing bacteria which promote growth in plants can increase productivity and both the economic and the environmental cost in plant crop systems. Similarly, in the flower and ornamental plant sector, the use of diazotrophic bacteria is a promising approach for improving orchid propagation from tissue culture to the ex vitro environment. We isolated diazotrophic bacteria from the roots and leaves of Cymbidium sp. The isolates were used to inoculate Cymbidium sp. plantlets during acclimatization in the nursery. After 150 days, plants were collected and their morphological and nutritional characteristics assessed. Eight bacterial strains were isolated containing traits that promote plant growth: Bacillus thuringiensis, Burkholderia...

Growth promotion of pineapple 'vitória' by humic acids and burkholderia spp. during acclimatization Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Solo
Baldotto,Lílian Estrela Borges; Baldotto,Marihus Altoé; Canellas,Luciano Pasqualoto; Bressan-Smith,Ricardo; Olivares,Fábio Lopes.
In vitro propagation of pineapple produces uniform and disease-free plantlets, but requires a long period of acclimatization before transplanting to the field. Quicker adaptation to the ex vitro environment and growth acceleration of pineapple plantlets are prerequisites for the production of a greater amount of vigorous, well-rooted planting material. The combination of humic acids and endophytic bacteria could be a useful technological approach to reduce the critical period of acclimatization. The aim of this study was to evaluate the initial performance of tissue-cultured pineapple variety Vitória in response to application of humic acids isolated from vermicompost and plant growth-promoting bacteria (Burkholderia spp.) during greenhouse...

Inoculation of maize with Azospirillum brasilense in the seed furrow Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Morais,Tâmara Prado de; Brito,Césio Humberto de; Brandão,Afonso Maria; Rezende,Wender Santos.
ABSTRACT Several studies addressing the inoculation of cereals with diazotrophic microorganisms can be found in the literature. However, in many experiments, investigators have overlooked the feasibility of applying these microorganisms to the furrow together with the seed, and the effect of bacterial concentration on phytostimulation. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of doses of an inoculant based on Azospirillum brasilense, applied to the seed furrow when planting maize, combined with different doses of nitrogen fertiliser. The experiment was carried out in the field, in soil of the cerrado region of Brazil. An experimental design of randomised blocks in bands was adopted, comprising nitrogen (40, 100, 200 and 300 kg ha-1) and doses of an...

Interaction between thidiazuron and Azospirillum brasilense on yield characteristics and productivity of rice AGRIAMBI
Buzo,Fernando de S.; Garé,Lucas M.; Arf,Orivaldo; Portugal,José R.; Meirelles,Flavia C.; Garcia,Nayara F. S..
ABSTRACT In rice, the use of the bacterium Azospirillum brasilense has shown to be very useful for the crop, being able to increase the final productivity of the same or reduce the need for nitrogen in topdressing. It has recently been noted that there are other regulators that perform other functions, such as thidiazuron (TDZ), a cytokinin-like substance that has been shown to significantly increase upland rice productivity. Thus, the present work aimed to verify the effect of the interaction between the foliar application of A. brasilense and thidiazuron doses applied at the occasion of the tillering of the plants on the productive aspects and crop productivity. The experiment was carried out in the agricultural years of 2015/16 and 2016/17, at the UNESP...
