Le Dinophysis est une microalgue toxique à l’origine d’epidémies diarrhéiques. En dépit de nombreuses études, l’écologie et la biologie de ce genre phytoplanctonique restent mal connues. Afin de déterminer les conditions d’apparition de Dinophysis cf. acuminata sur le site d’Antifer (Normandie, France), des prélèvements d’eau de mer ont été effectués quasi-journellement pendant les périodes estivales des années 1987 à 1993. Les séries temporelles résultantes concernent la concentration de la microalgue et les facteurs chimiques, physiques et météorologiques. L’analyse de ces données à l’aide d’outils sta- tistiques classiques (e.g. régression) s’est avérée difficile (e.g. instabilité temporelle des résultats). In Thau Iagoon (Mediterranean Sea), shellfish are cultured in suspension. Molluscs are reared on ropes that are suspended on frames. Principal species concerned by breeding are Crassostrea gigas, Mytilus galloprovincialis and, in a less extent, Ostrea edulis. A new sampling method was developped to assess the total stock of cultured shellfish and was tested in July 1998 and April 1999. The total stock was found to be 19500 tons (± 1120 SE) in 1998 and 14100 tons (± 830 SE) in 1999, thus exhibiting temporal variations. SHORT-TERM VARIATION OF BACTERIAL COMMUNITIES CONCENTRATION AND ACTIVITY IN AQUACULTURE ECOSYSTEMS. Two kinds of short-term experiments were carried out on sea-water bacterial communities of shrimp aquaculture in Polynesia at the Centre Océanologique du Pacifique (Tahiti). A 12 m3 sea-water tank was considered. The complicated dynamic processes occurring when fluvial waters mix with marine waters control the nature and the fluxes of materials exported tay rivers to the sea. Understanding these processes is of primary importance in evaluating budgets. In wide-open estuarine situations these processes take place under the influence of an intense turbulence induced by tides.
