| Being constituted as the largest risk factor and effective degradation to the Savannah, the man’s intervention in the nature and, especially, the agricultural exploration require analysis and better monitoring. This work aims to analyze the relationship between the agricultural exploration and the environmental degradation in the area of the Savannahs, in 1995-1996. | Mato Grosso ao longo de sua história passou de uma economia baseada na pecuária para uma economia essencialmente agrícola, destacando-se no cenário agrícola nacional e mundial pelas suas produções e exportações de soja e algodão, dentre outros bens de origem agropastoril. Este trabalho tem como propósito compreender a heterogeneidade espacial do desenvolvimento rural mato-grossense a partir do grau de desenvolvimento de cada município. | Este artigo tem por objetivo estimar os fatores determinantes da oferta turística do município de Ilhéus, na alta estação do ano de 2006. Fundamentado no conceito de que a oferta turística é subdividida em três categorias, atrativos, equipamentos e serviços e infra-estrutura, procurou-se avaliar estes componentes solicitando aos turistas, presentes nas principais praias, notas que representassem seu nível de satisfação. Os dados foram analisados através da estatística descritiva e por meio da análise fatorial. Os resultados indicam que os atrativos naturais e a hospitalidade agradaram, registrando as maiores notas médias. | The furniture industry of the Metropolitan Region of Belém provides many jobs opportunities and help to reduce the environmental impacts of sawmill, given that the shavings and wood residues of these firms are used as raw material. Factorial analysis was used to estimate the index of competitive performance (ICP) and to determine the competitive position of the firms in the furniture industry. The results showed that most of the furniture firms were located in an intermediate competitive level, which is due to the limiting factors such as lack of workforce, low technological level, difficult access to credit and low level of horizontal and vertical integration in the supply chain. | The year 1990 is the second of a regional monitoring program on production assessment of Crassostrea in Britlany. 9 sites have been tested with 3 stations per site and 3 oysters bags in each station, at 3 different densities : 170, 210 and 250 oysters per bag. 18 month old oysters stocked in bags in march were analyzed 43 weeks later, by variables concerning growth, survival, quality... The growth was lower at higher densities, more or less according to sites. As previously, differences between sites and stations are observed, with some confirmations (higher mortalities in Aber Benoît site) and also evolutions (growth and Polydora infestations improvement in Pen Bé site). |

| ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the trainer and the adopted daily work on the behavior and performance of horses of the Mangalarga Marchador breed on a horse farm and in racetracks in northern Minas Gerais State, Brazil. Twenty equines and nine trainers from four farms and three competition events of the breed were observed. The experiment was divided into two stages. In the first stage, the animals were observed together with their trainer on the farm, during the daily work, and the behavior reactions were recorded based on scores. | Abstract - Beef production in Brazil is based on a great diversity of production systems. Despite the increasing in recent years, productivity is still low, giving space to technological intensification. The present study used special tabulations of Brazilian Census of Agriculture - 2006 to describe the predominant beef cattle systems, with emphasis on technological variables. Factor analysis and clustering techniques were used together, by biome, covering a universe of 124 thousand farms, 94 million heads of cattle and 86 million hectares of pasture.
