A case of associated occurrence of the crab Lauridromia inter-media (Laurie, 1906) (Crustacea: Decapoda: Dromiidae) and the actinian Nemanthus annamensis Carlgren, 1943 (Anthozoa: Actiniaria: Nemanthidae) Naturalis
Lavaleye, M.S.S.; Hartog, J.C. den.
Members of the crab family Dromiidae tend to cover their carapace mostly with sponges or colonial tunicates. More rarely are used other objects or organisms such as solitary Tunicata, Zoantharia (= encrusting anemones), valves of Bivalvia, etc.; a review of these is presented. A new association of a dromiid crab Lauridromia intermedia (Laurie, 1906) and an actinian Nemanthus annamensis Carlgren, 1943, is described and discussed. Lauridromia intermedia is recorded for the first time from the continental shelf of East Africa.

A preliminary survey of the fish fauna in the vicinity of Santa Ana del Yacuma in Bolivia (río Mamoré drainage) Biota Neotropica
Hablützel,Pascal István.
The inventory of fish species of the río Mamoré sub-drainage in the Bolivian Amazon is far from being complete. This article informs about a small scale species inventory in the close vicinity of the town Santa Ana del Yacuma (drained by the río Yacuma, a left side tributary of the río Mamoré). Sampling four habitat types, 615 fish specimens belonging to 101 species were collected. Four species were reported for the first time from the río Mamoré sub-drainage: Aphyocharax rathbuni, Apistogramma erythrura, Apistogramma similis and Hyphessobrycon elachys. Differences in species composition among sampled habitats stress the importance of including a high number of collecting sites across biotic and abiotic environmental gradients to reliably survey species...

Epigaeic ants ina forest remnant in the state of Acre, Brazil and new records for the state. Repositório Alice
SANTOS, R. S.; DELABIE, J. H. C..
Ants are considered an important group of invertebrates in terrestrial ecosystems, where they participate in important ecological processes between animals and plants, and they are considered good indicators of environmental impacts as well. Although the diversity of ants in the Amazon biome is already relatively well known, the ant fauna in the state of Acre, Brazil is still poorly known. The aim of this study was to carry out a survey of ants in a forest remnant located in the municipality of Plácido de Castro, Acre, using pitfall traps. Thirty-six species of ants were collected from six subfamilies and 18 genera. From the species confirmed, 11 (Cephalotes serraticeps, Gnamptogenys moelleri, Gnamptogenys triangularis, Neoponera apicalis, Neoponera...

Couri,Márcia S.; Salas,Claudio.
First record of Coenosia attenuata Stein (Diptera, Muscidae) from Chile, with biological notes. Coenosia Meigen (Muscidae, Coenosiinae) species are known as predators of other insects and play an important role as potential biocontrol agents. Six species of Coenosia have been recorded in Europe preying on insects pests, one of them is Coenosia attenuata Stein. This species was recently recorded from the Neotropical Region and is herein recorded for the first time to Chile. Biological notes were included.

First record of Dadylopterus volitans (Dactylopteridae) in the Eastern English Channel ArchiMer
Mahe, Kelig; Foucher, Eric; Elleboode, Romain; Iglesias, Samuel; Tetard, Alain.
The family Dactylopteridae comprises seven valid species mostly distributed in tropical and subtropical seas (Eschmeyer and Fong, 2013). The flying gurnard Dactylopterus volitans (Linnaeus, 1758) is present in the Eastern Atlantic, apparently from the North Sea to Angola, including the entire Mediterranean Sea and the Azores, and in the Western Atlantic, from Canada to Argentina (Froese and Pauly, 2013). It is the only species of the family Dactylopteridae present in the European Atlantic (from 36 degrees N to 66 degrees N) (Roux, 1986; Quero et al., 2003). The point map of D. volitans given in FishBase (Froese and Pauly, 2013) showed a single record in the Bay of Biscay and a single record point in the Southern North Sea, although the latter seems to be...
