Ce rapport fait la synthèse des travaux réalisés en 2008 et en 2009 au cours du programme Selecmer. Celui-ci, réalisé à l'initiative des professionnels de la pêche en partenariat avec l'Ifremer, avait pour objectif de travailler à améliorer la sélectivité du chalut de fond qu'ils utilisent afin de diminuer les rejets des individus hors-tailles1, en particulier pour le merlan, tout en limitant les pertes commerciales immédiates. For the fourth consecutive year, the fishing returns of the shelly season of the roads of Brest are analyzed. For the black Scallop, principal species currently exploited, the goal is to know the evolution of the fisheries. For the shell St Jacques, season 86-87 saw a light improvement of the captures due to a good recruitment during summer 84. In the first chapter the general conditions of the unfolding of the countryside are treated, in the following are analyzed the captures of black scallop then of shell St Jacques. French potters from « Manche ouest » harbours ish edible crab Cancer pagurus in English Channel, Iroise Sea and along north Biscay Bay shelf. Monthly landings of the offshore fleet analysed from logbooks for the period 1985-1987 indicate changes in fishing areas. The mean length of males, the mean length of females and the sex-ratio have been analysed by Principal Component Analysis in 1981-1987 samples. The heterogeneity between catches from different statistical rectangle (30 x 40 nautical miles) was great enough to deduce a way of raising composition from samples to total landings. It also offers the possibility to verifiy and correct declaration on geographical origin of landings.

Traditional fishing using beach seines was studied over a period of one year at the mouth of the Onilahy river. The catches/efforts were recorded on a daily basis, biological sampling and the measurement of hydrological parameters being carried out twice a month. The moderate variations of salinity and temperature (14 < salinity < 35; 25 degrees C < temperature < 30 degrees C) which were observed in the estuary can be explained by the semiarid climate of the area. CAPITAL SOCIAL E DESENVOLVIMENTO DAS COMUNIDADES PISCATÓRIAS DE CABO VERDE: ESTUDO DE CASO DA ILHA DE SANTIAGO

Pour être en phase avec les recommandations de la communauté européenne, les missions ORHAGO doivent utiliser un chalut à perche pour la constitution des indices d'abondance de sole dans le golfe de Gascogne. Un chalut à perche de 4 m (environ 2000 kg) a été construit et acheté aux Pays-Bas dans l'optique des futures campagnes à la mer. La campagne TECHORHAGO visait à essayer et à mettre au point les différentes manoeuvres de mise à l'eau et de virage du chalut en le remorquant sur les deux treuils du Gwen-Drez. L'EROC (Engin Remorqué d'Observation des Chaluts) était embarqué.

Este trabalho analisou o capital social nas comunidades piscatórias da Ilha de Santiago. Os resultados indicam que o estoque de Capital Social é diferente nos Concelhos da Ilha de Santiago sendo que o Concelho do Tarrafal foi o que apresentou maior indice de Capital Social e o Concelho de Ribeira Grande foi o que apresentou menor indice. O Acesso á informação, confiança e ajuda de vizinhos são os pontos negativos que mereceram destaque em praticamente todos os Concelhos da Ilha. A captura e a comercializacao de iscas vivas foram investigadas na cidade de Corumba, Mato Grosso do Sul e arredores durante a alta temporada de pesca (agosto a outubro) de 1996, por meio da aplicacao de 60 questionarios aos isqueiros, via entrevista direta. Os isqueiros sao predominantementes homens, casados, com idade media de 29 anos, educacao primaria incompleta e renda bruta media mensal de quase R$650,00, capturando iscas ha pelo menos cinco anos. As iscas mais utilizadas sao cinco peixes (tuvira, piramboia, cascudo, jejum e mucum) e um carangueijo. A tuvira responde por metade da captura total e o carangueijo, por 34%. Fishing is an important source of mortality in harvested populations and therefore may induce adaptive responses. These responses affect life-history traits in particular, which have consequences for stocks’ dynamics, and thus can alter the demographic direct effect of fishing (i.e. the reduction in stock’s biomass). Fishing-induced adaptive changes depend, non-exclusively, on two processes: evolution and phenotypic plasticity. These two components are observed at the phenotypic level because functional genes coding for the traits undergoing adaptive changes have not yet been identified.
