Critical levels and sufficiency ranges for leaf nutrient diagnosis in cowpea grown in the Northeast region of Brazil Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Melo,Francisco de Brito; Souza,Henrique Antunes de; Bastos,Edson Alves; Cardoso,Milton Jose.
ABSTRACT Proposing sufficiency ranges and critical levels is an important technique for correct evaluation of leaf nutrient diagnosis. In this study, the objective was to propose critical levels and sufficiency ranges of macro- and micronutrients for the diagnostic leaf of cowpea, collected at flowering, with the results of macro- and micronutrients and productivity in the Northeast of Brazil. The critical level was calculated by the reduced normal distribution and by the boundary line method, which was also used to generate sufficiency ranges. For the critical level by reduced normal distribution, the relationship of the nutrients with 90% of maximum productivity was adopted. For the boundary line, the relationship of the nutrients that are in the upper...

MICRONUTRIENT CONCENTRATION AND CONTENT IN PASSION FRUIT LEAVES UNDER SAMPLING METHODS AND N-K FERTILIZATION RATES Rev. Bras. Frutic.
LOPES,PAULO AUGUSTO PEREIRA; PEGORARO,RODINEI FACCO; SILVA,DEIVISSON FERREIRA DA; MAIA,VICTOR MARTINS; MEDEIROS,ANANIAS COSTA.
ABSTRACT Balanced uptake of micronutrients by the passion fruit plant is essential for increased production and fruit quality. However, similar fertilizer management in varieties with different productive capacities and high levels of nitrogen and potassium can cause nutritional disorders in plants. The objective of this study was to evaluate leaf micronutrient concentrations and contents in passion fruit as affected by two different sampling methods, different N-K fertilization proportions, and different cultivars. The study was conducted in a randomized block design, with three replications, following a 4 × 6 factorial arrangement consisting of four cultivars of yellow passion fruit (BRS Gigante Amarelo, IAC 275, BRS Ouro Vermelho, and BRS Sol do...

Nitrogen fertilization and genotypes of peaches in high-density Rev. Bras. Frutic.
Barreto,Caroline Farias; Antunes,Luis Eduardo Correa; Ferreira,Letícia Vanni; Navroski,Renan; Benati,Jorge Atílio; Nava,Gilberto.
Abstract Among the factors that affect peach productivity is the proper nutrition of plants, being nitrogen (N) one of the main nutrients for the crop. Thus, the objective of the current study was to evaluate the effect of nitrogen fertilization on macronutrient leaf contents, plant development and production of different genotypes of peach trees cultivated at high planting density, seeking to recommend the most appropriate concentration. The experiment was conducted between 2016 and 2018 using peach selections ‘Cascata 1513’ and ‘Cascata 1067’ and with nitrogen fertilization concentrations (0, 60, 120 and 180 kg ha-1 of N). Pruning mass, trunk diameter, number of fruits per plant, average fruit mass, yield per plant, yield per hectare and leaf...
