| Em solos com elevado grau de intemperismo, a imobilização temporária de fósforo pela biomassa microbiana do solo (BMS) pode ser um mecanismo de retardamento das reações de adsorção. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a amplitude no fósforo microbiano (Pm) em um Argissolo em pastagem nativa submetida à roçada, introdução de forrageiras exóticas e adubadas com fertilizantes fosfatados. O estudo foi desenvolvido a partir de um experimento instalado em 1997 que constava de cinco tratamentos de fosfato e calagem (testemunha sem fósforo; hiperfosfato de gafsa; superfosfato triplo; superfosfato triplo + calcário e superfosfato simples + calcário), distribuídos em quatro blocos ao acaso. | ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to evaluate, through meta-analysis, the forage characteristics of various species of the genus Paspalum and to use them to select the best ecotypes that can be used in artificial hybridization as parents and hybrids for pasture production and natural pasture recovery systems. Data were obtained from studies conducted by the Department of Forage Plants and Agrometeorology of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. | ABSTRACT Aiming at breeding heifers with 14-15 months of age, 100 Hereford calves were subjected to different feeding systems. Heifers grazed on a natural pasture in early winter, fed or not a supplement (14% crude protein; 72% total digestible nutrients), were transferred to a ryegrass pasture for 73 days, and then returned to a natural pasture for 15 days until the beginning of the breeding season. | O mapeamento apresentado sintetiza as principais unidades de paisagens das sub-regiões da Nhecolândia e de Poconé, no Pantanal brasileiro. Os mapas baseiam-se na identificação de formações vegetais dominantes conforme o grau de inundação. Observou-se que a sub-região da Nhecolândia é dominada por formações savânicas sazonalmente inundáveis (41%) e a sub-região de Poconé é dominada por formações florestais sazonalmente inundáveis (26%). O domínio de florestas em Poconé deve-se principalmente ao domínio do cambará (Vochysia divergens). Ambas as sub-regiões apresentaram extensas áreas de savanas. As pastagens nativas de melhor qualidade estão localizadas nas áreas inundáveis, embora nessas áreas haja predominío de espécies cespitosas de baixo valor... |

| Objetivou-se avaliar a produção animal de novilhos e vegetal de campo natural e de campo natural sobre-semeado com azevém (Lolium multiflorum), trevo branco (Trifolium repens) e cornichão (Lotus corniculatus) com e sem a utilização do herbicida glyphosate. | ABSTRACT: Due to scarce nutritional data, this study assessed the productivity and nutritional value of Echinolaena inflexa (EI) grass, native to the Cerrado biome. It was compared to B. brizantha (BB), one of the most cultivated grasses in Brazil, during a whole year (rainy; RS and dry season; DS).
