This study investigates the optimal agricultural land use allocation and nitrogen application to a representative Japanese farm. The site-specific nature of numerous agri-environmental issues necessitates analysis at a disaggregated level in order to capture the underlying heterogeneity of agricultural productivity and environmental sensitivity across different parcels of land. Methane (CH4) is one of the most important greenhouse gases having a significant impact upon global warming. Today, paddy fields are a major source of methane production. The use of rice straw broth as an appropriate medium to isolate purple nonsulfur bacteria from paddy fields Electron. J. Biotechnol.

The aims were to explore an appropriate isolating medium for obtaining purple nonsulfur bacteria (PNSB) for use as biofertilizers in saline paddy fields and to obtain pure cultures. We therefore chose a defined isolating medium containing 0.25% NaCl, (Glutamate-Acetate broth, GA) and a rice straw broth to compare them for numbers of PNSB obtained, time to obtain pure cultures, diversity and costs. A total of 30 water and 30 sediment samples were collected from saline paddy fields in southern Thailand and used to isolate PNSB in both the isolating media. การสร้างแบบจำลองการเคลื่อนย้ายของเพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาล จากข้อมูลการระบาดในจังหวัดชัยนาท Thai Agricultural

Survey in paddy field in 2013 amount 54 fields as follow : Mueang Chai Nat 13 fields, Manorom 6 fields, Watsing 5 fields, Sapphaya 7 fields, Sankaburi 9 fields, Hankha district 10 fields, Nakhonsawan 1 field, Uthithani 1 field, Singburi 1 field and Suphanburi province 1 field. We begin survey at 15 days after planting to 90 days and used outbreak data sets by week from Department of Agricultural Extension for decision. The survey results show that brown planthopper high in 2 times per year. The first time is in February to March in Mueang Chai Nat and Hankha district because of brown planthopper outbreak in Suphanburi, migrated to Hankha district and influence of southern wind. Evaluation of the ability of rice varieties in resistance to brown plant hopper was performed using seed box screen test. The brown plant hopers (BPH) were collected from rice paddy fields in Phitsanulok, Chainat, and Ang Thong Province. From cluster analysis at level 0.8, there were three different groups classified by the different level of rice plant damage after treated by the insects. The three different level of damage were graded by the ability in resistance to the BPH as resistance, moderately resistance and susceptible. Main Factors affecting brown planthopper (BPH) outbreaks in the Central region from past up to now are cultivations of susceptible rice varieties and misused insecticide application. The aim of this research was to prove the misused of insecticide application in the hot spot area causing BPH severe outbreak. One hundred to one hundred fifty farmers from six provinces: Nakhon Nayok, Suphan Buri, Ang Thong, Chai Nat, Phitsanulok and Nonthaburi were interviewed during August to November 2010. The result found 56.5 to 100 percent of farmer sprayed insecticide for two to six times/seasons. เพลี้ยกระโดด Tagosodes pusanus (distant): แมลงศัตรูข้าวชนิดใหม่ในภาคเหนือตอนบนของประเทศไทย Thai Agricultural

Tagosodes pusanus (Distant) is one of the planthopper species, which has been reported as a minor insect pest in Thailand in 2000. The morphology of T. pusanus closely resembles the whitebacked planthopper, Sogatella furcifera (Horvath). However, it could be distinguished by the pattern of the dark markers of its forewings, pale yellow pronotum in the middle of the segment, color of the clypeus, and shapes and number of spines of aedeagus. The population dynamic of T. pusanus was studied by sampling in the rice fields using D-vac and Blower-vac sucking machines. 本省中南部沖積土不同形態鐵在剖面中之分佈及其對土壤磷吸著之影響 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本研究目的為明瞭沖積土中不同形態可抽出性鐵在水、旱田土壤剖面中之分佈特性,從不同形態之土壤剖面中探究與其有關之土壤化學性質的差異,及評估此性質對土壤磷吸著的影響。所得結果如下: 1﹒游離鐵(Fed,Dithionite法)在剖面中之含量分佈大致與粘粒一致,唯受水田表土鐵之往下移動、地下水位上下起伏及剖面質地出現極不均的情形所影響。表土之Fed與粘粒含量二者呈極顯著正相關,且Fed含量呈旱田較高,排水良水田次之,而排水不良水田較低之趨勢。 無定形鐵(Feo,Ammonium oxalate法)在剖面中之含量分佈則與粘粒無關而與有機質之分佈一致,即使表土具較低之Fed含量,Fed含量均以表土層最高,然後逐漸降低。表土之Feo含量受有機質含量及水田浸水影響,故表土之Feo與Fed不同,其與粘粒含量之相關僅呈5%顯著,且旱田者Feo含量明顯較水田低。 2﹒鐵活性比(Feo/Fed)在剖面中之分佈亦大致與有機質一致,而表土之鐵活性比,排水不良水田最高、排水良水田次之,旱田最低,故利用此比值可將此三種不同剖面形態之土壤區分。唯表土以下之灰斑層無法以此比值鑑定。 3﹒表土之土壤性質與土壤磷吸著的相關分析顯示土壤磷吸著僅與Feo含量成極顯著正相關,Feo對土壤磷吸著的重要性遠大於Fed。 4﹒土壤經浸水90天放乾後,僅經浸水處理的土壤,Feo含量較未浸水土壤增加,而添加1%有機質浸水處理者,增加幅度更大,且此效果,以旱田土壤明顯大於水田土壤。由此而導致土壤對磷吸著的增加趨勢亦同。經處理後之土壤利用草酸銨以抽出Feo後,磷吸著會明顯降低,且處理間磷吸著的差異亦因此而除去,顯示Feo確實是影響磷吸著的重要因子,唯各土壤間磷吸著的差異仍存在,表示土壤中除Feo外尚有其他成分參與磷的吸著作用。

變率施噴系統之研發與評估 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]一組以專家決策系統事先編製地圖為基礎之變率施噴系統被研發,以適應台灣稻田之空問變異,使用Mid-Tech 公司TASC 6200 主控器之流量控制噴霧系統當主要架構,以執行一般的自動噴霧功能。變率施噴系統之評估已測試了差分全球定位系統(DGPS)接收器之靜態與動態訊號反應、噴藥機施噴流量及噴嘴流量/噴桿樣式。本研究主要結果如下:具有平均靜態誤差大約1.6m 與平均2DRMS 值大約2.3m ,此差分全球定位系統RX-400p 接收器之準確度足以用於導航,但尚不足以適用於田間工作。動態準確度測試所得之趨勢與其他的研究者獲致之結果有差異,不過差分全球定位系統的速率資料可用以提供噴霧機速度資訊。此差分全球定位接收器在行進速度0.2 至l m / s 時,於經緯度方向表現一致而具有平均動態位置誤差2.23m ,而在行進速度0.4 至l m/s 時其平均偏差時間為3.48 秒。較高的噴施率及行進速度會導致較高的噴霧機流量誤差,校正係數153.1 及155 可用以校正流量計而無明顯之差異。四種噴嘴型式之噴嘴流量/噴桿樣式由於變異係數值皆小於5% ,顯然相當一致,本研究所收集之資料對改良及運用適於台灣情況之變率施噴機具提供極有價值的資訊。 A variable rate chemical application system based on prescription maps from an accompanying expert decision system was developed to accommodate in-field spatial variability of paddy fields in Taiwan.
