| Much effort has been devoted to the identification of immunologically important antigens of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and to the combination of target antigens to which antibodies from serum of tuberculous patients could react specifically. We searched for IgG antibodies specific for antigens of 45 to 6 kDa obtained after sonication of the well-characterized wild M. tuberculosis strain in order to detect differences in the antibody response to low molecular weight antigens from M. tuberculosis between patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and contacts. | The objective of this research was to evaluate the nutritional management of dogs and cats domiciled in the city of Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil, based on the owners’ profile, by means of an applied questionnaire, obtaining information on the level of education related to the feeding offered to their animals, as well as the degree of knowledge about the importance of nutrition for the health of dogs and cats. According to the interviewees, in this municipality, the presence of dogs as pets was predominant compared to cats. | Soils are the foundation of terrestrial ecosystems and their role in food production is fundamental, although physical degradation has been observed in recent years, caused by different cultural practices that modify structures and consequently the functioning of soils. The objective of this study was to evaluate possible structural changes and degradation in an Oxisol under different managements for 20 years: no-tillage cultivation with and without crop rotation, perennial crop and conventional tillage, plus a forested area (reference).
