Se ha tratado de encontrar el menor nivel de proteína cruda (PC) en dietas sorgo-pasta de soya adicionada con AA sintéticos que mantenga los resultados productivos de la dieta estándar; también se ha tratado de encontrar un aditivo capaz de mejorar la respuesta productiva de cerdos alimentados con dietas con baja proteína (DBP). ABSTRACT This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of coenzyme Q10, L-carnitine and ractopamine supplementation, alone and in combinations, on carcass traits and immune response of broiler chickens. Five hundred and twelve one-day-old Ross 308 male broiler chickens were randomly allocated into eight treatments with four replicates each. Se realizó un estudio con el objetivo de evaluar el comportamiento productivo y características de la canal de ovinos Suffolk x Hampshire y Pelibuey al adicionar clorhidrato de ractopamina (RAC) en la dieta de corderos en la etapa de finalización. Se realizaron dos experimentos, en el primero se utilizaron 20 corderos machos Suffolk x Hampshire (S x H) con un peso inicial promedio de 37.01 ± 1.04 kg, y en el segundo 28 corderos machos Pelibuey (PB) con un peso inicial promedio 28.37 ± 0.66 kg. Abstract The effects of immunocastration and ractopamine in the diet on the belly quality were investigated from two crossbred pigs under different conditions of production, diet, management, and slaughter arranged in factorial design using two levels of addition of ractopamine in the diet, 0 and 7.5 ppm, and three genders (gilts, immunocastrated and barrows). The quality of bellies were analyzed for chemical composition, pH, meat and fat color, backfat thickness and fatty acid profile of the fat. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of adding ractopamine (RAC) and amino acids (AA) to the diet on growth performance, carcass characteristics, commercial cuts yield, meat quality and residues in liver and muscle. Ninety-two crossbred castrated pigs (97.96 ± 2.32 kg) were randomly assigned to one of two dietary treatments: a Control diet with 0 mg kg-1 of RAC and a RAC+AA diet with 10 mg RAC kg-1, for the last 27 days. This study aimed at evaluating the effect of ractopamine (RAC) on metabolism, zootechnical performance, body composition, and behavior in Wistar rats submitted to acute and chronic restrain stress. The oral dose of 5 mg/kg of RAC was administered in periods of 0, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days. The elevated plus-maze test (EPMT) was used for behavioral assessment.
