Coat survey and Quarter reproductive age used in Vaquejada in Northeast micro-regions Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Bastos, Marisa Silva; Rezende, Marcos Paulo Gonçalves; Souza, Julio Cesar; Leite, Maybe Carneiro Paula; Figueiredo, Gabriel Chaves.
Aimed to evaluate the coat and Quarter reproductive age used in equine production used in Vaquejada in micro regions of the Northeast. They used information from 264 horses, taken from the database of the Association of Quarter Horse Breeders (ABQM). Were collected individual information: date of birth, sex and animal fur, number of copies of disputed official Vaquejada, better and worse placed, cumulative score in ABQM, coats and dates of parents' birth (31), coats and birth dates mothers (257). There was a higher frequency (P<0.05) of births between the months of September and October. There was no age-specific greater use of stallions or matrix playback (P>0.05). There was no correlation (P>0.05) between the number of children and the stallion...

Concentration and accumulation of micronutrients in robust coffee Agronomy
Dubberstein, Danielly; Partelli, Fábio Luiz; Espíndula, Marcelo Curitiba; Dias, Jairo Rafael Machado.
Knowledge on the dynamics of micronutrients in coffee tree assists nutritional diagnosis and fertilization management. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the concentration and accumulation of micronutrients in the leaves and fruits of Coffea canephora. The experiment was managed in crops propagated for 2.5 years in a split-plot-in-time scheme in which the main plots consisted of fertilized and not-fertilized plants, and the subplots stipulated the evaluation periods. The berries and leaves were collected every 28 days, starting from the first flowering to full maturity. The micronutrient content was determined by laboratory chemical analysis, and the accumulation of nutrients in the fruit (mg) was calculated by multiplying the dry...

Optimizing the exploitation of wild and reared bluefin tunas under the constraint of sustainability: the Ifremer R&D project ArchiMer
Coves, Denis; Rene, Francois; Fauvel, Christian.
A brief account is given of a research project commenced in 2000 by IFREMER concerning aspects of wild bluefin farming in offshore cages and reproduction control in land-based facilities. Three inter-related sub projects have been suggested: (i) wild fish ongrowing and/or fattening; (ii) reproduction; and (Hi) fingerling production and improvement of the understanding of early stage recruitment limitations. The Integration of this project in other EU community activities is discussed.
