Com o objetivo de fornecer indicadores que permitam ao produtor tomar decisões baseadas na viabilidade financeira, realizou-se a análise financeira da atividade, que compreende: o levantamento das receitas e dos custos anuais, determinação do valor presente líquido - VPL; relação benefício/custo - relação B/C; taxa interna de retorno - TIR. Para complementar o estudo, auxiliar no seu planejamento e analisar a viabilidade de construção da destilaria, foi determinado seu ponto de nivelamento. |

A descoberta de populações nativas de pimenta longa (Piper hispidinervum) no Estado do Acre, apresentando teores de safrol acima de 90% em seu óleo essencial, criou uma grande perspectiva de sua exploração, principalmente, considerando os aspectos da geração de emprego e renda. Assim, torna-se necessário conhecer e discutir aspectos relacionados aos custos, como também seus coeficientes técnicos de produção. |

ABSTRACT Piper cachimboense is recorded only for the Amazon region of Brazil and Colombia, and the objective of this study was to report the first phytochemical assessment of the composition of the essential oils (EOs) from this species collected in the Amazon rainforest, in Novo Progresso, Pará State, Brazil. Samples of leaves were subjected to hydrodistillation in a Clevenger-type apparatus. The chemical identification was carried out by gas chromatography. The yield of oils was of 11.03 ± 5.94% for fresh leaves, and 1.07 ± 0.27% for dry leaves. The analysis showed 36 volatile compounds from fresh leaves and 49 from dried leaves. The commonly known Pimenta longa is a commercially valuable natural resource found wild in Acre, Brazil. Specifically, three Piperaceae species with contested taxonomic status were studied, Piper hispidinervum, Piper aduncum, and Piper hispidum, to assesses the inter- and intra-specific genetic relationship of 49 Piper genotypes kept in the Pimenta longa germplasm collection at Embrapa Acre, using sixty six Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. The DNA polymorphism level detected was high (96.97%), but the marker frequencies for each species showed polymorphism levels of 79.4% for Piper hispidinervum and 5.3% for P. aduncum. ABSTRACT Piper hispidinervum C. DC. is popularly known as long-pepper and it owns a commercial value due to the essential oil it produces. Long-pepper oil is rich in safrole and eugenoln components that have insecticidal, fungicidal and bactericidal activity. It has been establish that to medicinal plants light influences not only growth but also essential oil production.
