| The objective of this study was to compare the economic performance of egg production in laying hens raised in cage and floor systems under hot climate conditions. The economic risk level of the production systems was assessed due to the fluctuation in prices of soybean meal and corn. The experiment was carried out at the Experimental Farm of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) in Santo Antônio do Leverger – Mato Grosso, using 320 laying hens of the Hysex Brown lineage, aged 34 to 43 weeks.
