The influence of plant population (31,250 and 46,875 plants ha-1) and nitrogen doses (0, 100, 200, and 300 kg ha-1) on the accumulation of macronutrients by cabbage plants was studied in Jaboticabal, Brazil, from February 18 to June 2, 2004. The experimental design was a randomized complete block in a 2 × 4 factorial scheme, with three replications. Differences in the amount of macronutrients accumulated by cabbage as function of N dose and plant population, were observed. The largest amounts of macronutrients were detected at the end of the plant cycle when the plant population was the lowest. RESUMO: O objetivo deste trabalho foi definir os melhores espaçamentos entre linhas de plantas de três cultivares de café arábica, Iapar 59, Acaiá Cerrado MG 1474 e Topázio MG 1190, submetidas a cinco regimes hídricos, buscando tornar eficientes os sistemas, manual e mecanizado, de manejo da cafeicultura no Cerrado. A cultivar Iapar 59 foi plantada com o espaçamento de 0,5 m entre plantas, e as variedades Acaiá Cerrado e Topázio foram implantadas no espaçamento de 0,60 m entre plantas na linha. O espaçamento entre linhas também variou conforme a variedade. A cultivar Iapar 59 foi implantada nos espaçamentos entre linhas de 2,20 m, 2,80 m e 3,80 m. The silvicultural and economic potential of paricá (Schizolobium amazonicum) has encouraged the expansion of this crop, mainly in the northern region of the country, provoking the need for studies on the species. The objective of this study was to estimate paricá production in Paragominas region, Para State, Brazil, at 5, 6 and 7 years, in three classes of productivity considering five plant arrangements, being identified the main costs of production, in addition to those most affected by plant arrangements.
