El objetivo del presente trabajo fue conocer la acción enzimática del hongo basidiomiceto Pleurotus sapidus al actuar sobre los subproductos agroindustriales: Paja de cebada (PC), Raicilla (RC) y la Mezcla PC y RC 75:25 (M), además los cambios en su composición química que permitieran mejorar la digestibilidad de los subproductos usados en la alimentación de rumiantes. Se realizaron dos experimentos, el primero fue evaluar la actividad enzimática de lacasas, celulasas y xilanasas, a los 0, 8, 16 y 24 días de cultivo; las muestras obtenidas para cada tiempo se prensaron para obtener un extracto líquido (complejo enzimático) y posteriormente en el prensado residual se determinó la composición bromatológica de PC, RC y M en relación al valor inicial. In many countries, the algae of "green tides" are harvested in the fight against pollution. Ulva often represents the main component of the tide, and intensive research has been conducted on the possibility to use the algae as a methanisation substrate. However, methanisation is hampered by various practical obstacles, which requires a compromise between productivity and biological yield. The process described here calls upon a pre-digestion phase of Ulva which, besides the economy of time and volume of the digestion, makes it possible to obtain a biogas of good quality. The objective of this study was to evaluate the administration of different doses of calcium hydroxide mixed with sugar cane fed to cows by the pH, ammonia nitrogen and volatile fatty acids concentration in ruminal content. Four cows with fistulated rumen were distributed in a Latin square (4 × 4) in split plot. The treatments involved adding doses of 0, 8, 16 and 24 g/kg of calcium hydroxide to sugar cane in natura. Samples of rumen fluid were collected and the pH and concentration of N-NH3 was determined before (time zero) and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 hours after the feeding time.
