ABSTRACT Two experiments were conducted in different areas of the Rafael Fernandes Experimental Farm, located in Lagoinha district, 20 km from Mossoró municipality (RN), in the period from June to September of the years of 2015 and 2016 with the objective of evaluating and estimating agronomic and economic feasibility indicators of cowpea-vegetable as a function of amounts of hairy woodrose (Merremia aegyptia (L.) Urb.) biomass incorporated into the soil in two crops. Treatments consisted of the following amounts of hairy woodrose biomass: 20, 35, 50 and 65 t ha-1 on a dry basis. ABSTRACT Cultivation of the cowpea is important in various regions of Brazil, but competition from weeds is one of the factors which limit productivity. The aim of this study therefore was to evaluate the pre-plant selectivity and efficiency of different herbicides, and combinations of herbicides, in the cowpea [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.]. ABSTRACT Cowpea beans play an important role in Brazilian farming, mainly in northern and northeastern regions, where it is widely grown among smallholder farmers. In recent years, commercial farmers have expanded its cultivation, mostly to the Midwest. ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to analyze the variations of the decoupling factor and the aerodynamic and stomatal conductances for cowpea subjected to different levels of water availability during the reproductive phenological stages of the crop. ABSTRACT The development and enrichment of food are of great importance not only for the industry but also to improve the population's nutrition, where you can create new products or optimize existing ones. The consumption of fortified products in the diet is an option for the control of deficiency diseases. This study aimed to develop enriched cheese bread with whole biofortified cowpea flour and evaluate their acceptance and chemical composition. A combinação eficiente entre variedades e estirpes de rizóbio é importante para aumentar a produtividade do feijão macassar; entretanto, estirpes selecionadas não foram testadas com a maioria das variedades cultivadas na região semiárida do Nordeste do Brasil.
