Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate the productive and vegetative performance of the Maciel and Chimarrita peach tree cultivars grafted on six rootstocks, in a replanting area. The experiment was carried out in an area that had been previously cultivated with peach trees for more than 15 years in the municipality of Eldorado do Sul, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The Maciel and Chimarrita peach tree cultivars were grafted on 'Aldrighi', 'Capdeboscq', 'Okinawa', 'Flordaguard', 'Nemaguard', and 'Umezeiro'. The 'Umezeiro' rootstock caused high plant mortality in both scions, as well as low productivity and higher alternate bearing; it also affected the qualitative and ripening attributes of the fruits of 'Chimarrita'. The... |

Among the main problems of some temperate fruit species, such as the apple tree (Malus domestica), are the poor set of fruits and low production. Polyamines and Self-Incompatibility Control Substances (SICS), involving mineral nutrients such as manganese and boron, are the major chemical compounds used to reduce these problems. The aim of this study was to use popular polyamines putrescine (Put) at 0.1, 0.25 mM, spermine (Spm) and spermidine (Spd) both at 0.05, 0.25 mM and SICS at 1, 2 mg L-1, alone or with cotton coverage bags and control to show the effects of these chemical compounds on yield indices and qualitative traits of apple (Malus domestica) cv ‘Red Delicious’. Results showed that Spd (0.25 mM) and SICS (1 mg L-1) had higher effect on yield... |

The soybean, one of the most important cultures in Brazilian agriculture, is a profitable culture due to the use of brand new technologies in the development of new cultivars, which contain more and more biotechnologies that turn the crop management easier. Among these technologies, there is the INTACTA RR2 PRO®, which was recently released. However, there are few studies to show the most yielding cultivars indicated to Marechal Cândido Rondon. So, the aim of this study was to evaluate some cultivars indicated to this region and then recommend them to the farmers. A couple of agronomic characteristics were evaluated, focusing in the yield and cycle. The randomized block design was used, with four replications. The obtained data was submitted to variance... |
