CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1 is a short duration photoperiod insensitive rice, non-glutinous, and non-aromatic rice line derived from a cross between Chainat 1 and IR40. The single cross hybridization was made in 2008 at Bang Khen Rice Experiment Station (now Chachoengsao Rice Research. F2 to F5 progenies were selected at Klong Luang Rice Reseach Center during 2009-2011.The line CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1 has an erect and moderately strong culm; 115 cm height on transplanting; 99 days maturity on transplanting. The cooked rice is hardly non-aromatic and the amylose content is 24.56 percent. The seed size is larger than Pathum Thani 1 and Suphanburi 1. The period of seed dormancy is about 4 weeks. . Its yield potential is up to 759 kg/rai or more when grown under suitable fertilizer usage and cultural practices. Results of intra station yield trails in wet season 2013 and dry season 2014 at Klong luang Rice Research Center showed that the average yield of CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1, Pathum Thani 1 and Suphanburi 1 were 692, 719 and 774 kg/rai, respectively. It’s seed was long and slender shape, which was about 4 weeks for seed dormancy. CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1 is recommended for limited on irrigated paddy field in the central plain. But in the future CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1 line will be evaluated yield on farm trial and reaction on Blast and Brown plant hopper.
ข้าวสายพันธุ์ CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1 เป็นข้าวเจ้าไม่ไวต่อช่วงแสง ที่มีอายุเก็บเกี่ยวไม่เกิน 100 วัน ผลผลิตค่อนข้างสูง ได้จากการปรับปรุงพันธุ์ข้าวและคัดเลือกแบบดั้งเดิม เป็นข้าวสายพันธุ์ผสมระหว่างพันธุ์ ชัยนาท 1 เป็นพันธุ์แม่ และพันธุ์ IR40 เป็นพันธุ์พ่อ ทำการผสมพันธุ์ในปี 2551 ที่สถานีทดลองข้าวบางเขนเดิม (ปัจจุบัน คือ ศูนย์วิจัยข้าวฉะเชิงเทรา) คัดเลือกข้าวชั่วที่ 2 - 5 ระหว่างฤดูนา ปี 2552 - 2554 ที่ศูนย์วิจัยข้าวคลองหลวง เมื่อได้สายพันธุ์ข้าวที่มีความคงตัวทางพันธุกรรม แล้วนำไปปลูกศึกษาพันธุ์และเปรียบเทียบผลผลิตภายในสถานีในฤดูนาปี 2556 และ ฤดูนาปรัง 2557 พบว่า สายพันธุ์ CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1 มีลักษณะต้นตั้งตรง ล าต้นแข็งไม่หักล้มง่าย มีความสูง 115 เซนติเมตร เมื่อปลูกโดยวิธีปักดำ อายุเก็บเกี่ยว 99 วัน เมื่อปลูก โดยวิธีปักดำ คุณภาพแป้งสุกแข็ง ปริมาณอะมิโลสร้อยละ 24.56 เมล็ดมีขนาดใหญ่กว่าข้าวพันธุ์ปทุมธานี 1 และ สุพรรณบุรี 1 ระยะพักตัวประมาณ 4 สัปดาห์ มีศักยภาพการให้ผลผลิต 759 กิโลกรัมต่อไร่ หรือมากกว่าเมื่อมี การใส่ปุ๋ยและดูแลปฏิบัติอย่างเหมาะสม ผลผลิตเฉลี่ยจากการเปรียบเทียบผลผลิตภายในสถานีเมื่อทดสอบฤดูนาปี 2556 และฤดูนาปรัง 2557 คือ 692 กิโลกรัมต่อไร่ ขณะที่ข้าวพันธุ์ปทุมธานี 1 และสุพรรณบุรี 1 ซึ่งเป็นพันธุ์เปรียบเทียบมาตรฐาน ให้ผลผลิตเฉลี่ย 719 และ 774 กิโลกรัมต่อไร่ ตามล าดับ ข้าวสายพันธุ์ CCS08054-KLG-9-1-1-2-1 สามารถแนะนำให้เป็นสายพันธุ์ทางเลือกสำหรับใช้ปลูกในพื้นที่นาชลประทานภาคกลางที่มีระบบ ชลประทานจำกัด รวมทั้งพื้นที่ที่มีปัญหาน้ำเค็มเข้าท่วมในฤดูน้ำลดได้เป็นอย่างดี แต่ทั้งนี้ต้องทำการทดสอบด้านการให้ผลผลิตในสภาพแปลงเกษตรกร และการเข้าทำลายของโรคและแมลงแมลงที่สำคัญในลำดับต่อไป
