Anther culture (AC) technology is being used to conduct rice blast resistant true breeding line at Phrae Rice Research Center in 2012. Five crosses from irrigated rice research and development program were cultured on N6 formula media to induce callus formation in the dark room, 20-250C and light intensity about 2000 Lux for 1-2 months and followed by MS media for 1-2 months. Then, the plantlet was transplanted to nursery and 96 progenies of five crosses were planted to observational trial in the field during wet season, 2014. The evaluation of blast reaction was conducted at Phrae Rice Research Center using mixed isolates of blast pathogen from Phrae province. The results show that one line (PRE12111-AC-1-5) is highly resistance (HR) and 26 lines are resistance (R) to rice blast disease. These HR and R lines will be selected and used as promising breeding lines or germplasm for development of rice blast resistance variety
เพาะเลี้ยงอับละอองเรณูข้าวเพื่อสร้างสายพันธุ์แท้ต้านทานโรคไหม้ จากข้าวพันธุ์ผสมชั่วที่ 1 (F1) ในฤดูนาปี 2556 ใช้พันธุ์ข้าวจากโครงการวิจัยและพัฒนาพันธุ์นาชลประทาน 5 คู่ผสม โดยนำอับละอองเรณูข้าวมาเลี้ยงบนอาหารสูตร N6 เพื่อชักนำให้เกิดแคลลัส เลี้ยงในที่มืดอุณหภูมิ 20-25 องศาเซลเซียส เป็นเวลา 1-2 เดือน แล้วนำมาเลี้ยงต่อบนอาหารสูตร MS ในที่มีความเข้มแสง 2000 Lux เป็นเวลา 1-2 เดือน เพื่อให้แคลลัสพัฒนาเป็นต้นอ่อน จากนั้นย้ายต้นอ่อนไปปลูกในโรงเรือน ผลการเพาะเลี้ยงอับละอองเรณูได้สายพันธุ์ข้าว จากทั้ง 5 คู่ผสม จำนวน 96 สายพันธุ์ หลังจากนั้นนำไปปลูกศึกษาพันธุ์ขั้นต้นภายในสถานีในฤดูนาปี 2557 และส่งเข้าทดสอบปฏิกิริยาต่อโรคไหม้ในสภาพโรงเรือนที่ศูนย์วิจัยข้าวแพร่ โดยใช้เชื้อสาเหตุโรคไหม้จากจังหวัดแพร่ พบสายพันธุ์ข้าวที่มีปฏิกิริยาความต้านทานต่อโรคไหม้ในระดับต้านทานสูง (HR) จำนวน 1 สายพันธุ์คือ PRE12111-AC-1-5 และระดับต้านทาน (R) จำนวน 26 สายพันธุ์ สายพันธุ์ข้าวที่มีปฎิกิริยาต้านทานในระดับต้านทานและต้านทานสูง จะส่งเข้าโครงการปรับปรุงพันธุ์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลผลิตและพัฒนาเป็นสายพันธุ์ข้าวต้านทานโรคไหม้ต่อไป
