Приведены сведения о 16 видах трематод сем. Didymozoidae, 5 видов из них описаны как новые для науки. Хозяевами дидимозоид оказались 7 ценных промысловых видов рыб (4 вида тунцов, синий марлин, парусник, ваху). Рассматриваются вопросы зараженности дидимозоидами тунцов рода Thunnus. У тунцов и марлиновых паразитируют представители разных родов и подсемейств дидимозоид.
During the marine expedition launched to the western Indian Ocean in 1972, 25 species of the family Didymozoidae were found of which 5 are described in this publication as new for the science and 16 more are discussed. Hosts infested with didymozoids were seven valuable food fishes – four members of the genus Thunnus, blue marlin, sailfish and wahoo. As the records evidence, species composition of the trematodes in these fishes differs insignificantly, being amazingly similar in the four compared tunas; quantitatively, the subfamily Didymozoinae prevails. At the same time, genera and subfamilies of Didymozoidae parasitizing the tunas differ from those found in marlins.
