乳牛のビタミンB群製剤の適正な補給を目的に、健康牛(泌乳中期および乾乳期)と新生子牛のビタミンB1、B2、B6、B12の血中濃度を測定した。泌乳中期群(n=5)ではB1、B2、B6、B12の血中濃度は51.2±1.2ng/ml、92.1±3.9ng/ml、37.8±1.7ng/ml、220.2±16.3pg/ml、乾乳期群(n=4)では39.5±3.3ng/ml、75.2±4.6ng/ml、42.6±2.2ng/ml、406.8±48.1pg/mlで、泌乳中期群と比較してB1、B2で低値、B12で高値(p<0.05)を示した。新生子牛群(n=9)では、出生直後のビタミンB1、B2、B6、B12の血中濃度は47.0±3.6ng/ml、169.9±6.7ng/ml、4.1±0.2ng/ml、357.4±44.2pg/mlで、生後20日目では30.0±1.4ng/ml、130.9±6.4ng/ml、16.5±0.6ng/ml、230.4±13.9pg/mlを示し、ビタミンB6を除くビタミンB群の血中濃度は生後漸減した。 以上の成績から飼養状況および個体の状況により血中濃度が異なるため、適正な補給に当たっては対象牛のビタミンB群の血中濃度を把握し、今回の測定値を参考として適量の薬用量の決定が必要であると考えられた。Blood concentrations of the vitamin B complex (B1,B2,B6,and B12) were measured in healthy cows both during the lactation period and during the non-lactation period,and in calves from 1 to 20 days after birth to determine the appropriate does of B complex supplement for dairy cattle. In the lactating group (n=5),the concentrations of the 4 vitamins measured were (Mean土SE)51.2 土 1.2ng/ml, 92.1 士 3.9ng/ml, 37.8 士 1.7ng/ml,and 220.2 士 16.3pg/ml, respectively. In the non-lactating group (n=4), the 4 concentrations were 39.5 士 3.3ng/ml,75.2 士 4.6ng/ ml,42.6 士 2.2ng/ml ,and 406.8 士 48.1ng/ml, respectively. The levels of B1 and B2 were lower and the level of B12 higher than in the lactating group (pく0.05). In the newborn calf group (n=9),the 4 concentrations were 47.0 士 3.6ng/ml,169.9 士 6.7ng/ml,4.1 土 0.2ng/ml,and 357.4 士 44.2ng/ml, respectivery. At 20 days after birth,they were 30.0 土 1.4ng/ml,130.9 士 6.4ng/ml, 16.5 士 0.6ng/ml,and 230.4 士 13.9ng/ml, respectivery. With the exception of vitamin B6,the level of the vitamin B complex decreased gradually in the postnatal period,On the basis of these data alone,it is difficult to determine supplemental doses of the vitamin B complex,but the data can be used as a reference in determining individual cases.
