Resumo:  Among the marine species more quoted in the coasts of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico, we can found the pargo canane (Ocyurus chrysurus) and the biajaiba (Lutjanus synagris), that have a great demand in the national and regional market. In the installations of the Technological Institute of Lerma, has developed growing of O. chrysurus and L. synagris in floating cages, until this moment growing of these specie has been never carried out. In this work we carried out an evaluation of the growth of O. chrysurus and L. synagris at three different culture densities, in floating cages with volume of 1.5 m3. We conclude that O. chrysurus presents a greater growth rate for length and biomass (27.6 and 99.28%) with regard to L. synagris (18.99 and 76.81). The growth of smaller size individuals (12-14 cm of LF) was greater in comparison to those of greater size (15-16 cm of LF). As for the culture densities utilized, the density that presented the best growth was that at 10 organisms/cage in the species O. chrysurus and at 5 organisms/cage in L. synagris, and that of smaller growth in both species was of 15 organisms/cage. The Food Conversion Factor was good considering it in estimated dry weight. The food don’t influence significantly in the growth of the species during the experimental period.
