Résumé : Les 6 campagnes de chalutage réalisées en 1987 et 1988 ont permis d’évaluer les indices d’abondance des diverses ressources démersales, essentiellement poisson et céphalopodes, par strate, zone et, pour l’ensemble du plateau continental. Des estimations de biomasse apparente (77'000 tonnes en 1988) et de potentiel maximum exploitable (59'200 t. en 1988) ont aussi été avancées. La comparaison de ces résultats avec ceux des années 1982-1984 a fait ressortir une nette tendance à l’amélioration générale depuis 1987. Si la situation de la zone nord (Cap Blanc) demeure encore préoccupante par rapport à celle du sud, l’abondance globale des ressources du plateau a retrouvé un niveau peu inférieur à celui des années 1982-1983. L’influence probable de certains paramètres environnementaux (Upwelling, températures) et, de la baisse d’effort de la principale pêcherie démersale, dans cette évolution, a été soulignée.
Abstract: 6 trawling surveys carried out in 1987 and 1988 allowed us to estimate abundance indices of the démersale resources, which were mainly fish and cephalopods, for each stratum, for each zone, and for the whole continental shelf. Estimates of apparent biomass (77’000 metric tons in 1988) and of maximum sustainable yield 59’200 m.t. in 1988) have also been presented. Comparison of these results with the ones from the yeares 1982-1984 showed clear tendency of improvement sincer 1987. If démersale resources conditions in the northern part of Mauritania (Cap Blanc) remain critical in comparison with the south, their global abundance again achieved a not very inferior level to the one observed in the years 1982-1983.
