Se presentan los resultados obtenidos del estudio de los poliquetos de la Bahía de Santa Elena en la zona intermareal rocosa y arenosa del Puerto de Salinas (Yacht Club), Puerto Lucía, Santa Rosa, Terminal Petrolero de la Superintendencia de La Libertad y el área de Ballenita. Del total de poliquetos identificados la especie Pareurythoe spirocirrata es la más frecuente del área estudiada y representan el 9% del total de poliquetos, prefiere vivir en la zona rocosa del área de Santa Rosa y Puerto Lucía. Del análisis de la fauna bentónica de la zona submareal del área de la Bahía de Santa Elena, se identificaron 13 especies de poliquetos bentónicos siendo la especie Capetilla sp. la más abundante (10%), seguido por la especie Sabella sp. (8%), Paraonis sp. (4%) y Cirratus sp. (4%), Orbinia sp., Glicera sp., Onuphis nebulosa, Ophelia sp. y Nephtys singularis con el 3% respectivamente. El mayor índice de diversidad para el área intermareal se ubicó en la estación de Salinas del Yacht Club (1.8 bits) y el índice de Margalef en el área de Salinas Yacht Club (0.9), de la misma forma el mayor índice de Uniformidad en la estación de Ballenita (0.97) y, el mayor índice de Simpson en la estación de Ballenita (0.25). La mayor riqueza de especies en el área de Salinas Yacht Club (7). Para la zona submareal la mayor riqueza de especies se ubicó en la estación 18 del perfil 5 con 9 especies a 10 metros de profundidad. El índice de Uniformidad para las estaciones 4 - 7 y 11 con 1 bits, el índice de Margalef en las estaciones 18 (1.3), 3 (1.1) y, el índice de Simpson en la estación 8 (0.7).
Presented here are the results of a study of the polichaeta of Santa Elena Bay in the rocky and sandy intertidal area of Salinas Port (Yacht Club), Port Lucía, Santa Rosa, Oil terminal of the Superintendence of La Libertad and the area of Ballenita. Of the total identified polichaeta the species Pareurythoe spirocirrata was the most frequent in the studied area and represented 9% of the total polichaeta, which prefers to live in the rocky areas of Santa Rosa and Port Lucía. The benthic fauna analysis of the subtidal area of Santa Elena Bay, identified 13 species of polichaeta including Capitella sp., the mostabundant (10%), followed by the species Sabella sp. (8%), Paraonis sp. (4%) and Cirratus sp. (4%), Orbinia sp., Glicera sp., Onuphis nebulosa, Ophelia sp. and Nephtys singularis with 3% respectively. The largest diversity indices for the intertidal area was located at the Salinas Yacht Club station (1.8 bits) and at Margalef in salinas area Yacht Club (0.9) in the greatest index of uniformity scores are associated with the Ballenita station (0.97), and the greatest Simpson index is associated with Ballenita station (0.25). The greatest wealth of species was found Salinas area Yacht Club (7). For the subtidal area the greatest wealth of species was located at station 18 of profile 5 with 9 species at 10 meters of depth. The Shannon index was calculated for at stations 18 (2.1 bits) and 20 ( 1.9 bits), the indices of uniformity for stations 4 - 7 and 11 were found to be 1 bit, the index of Margalef at station 18 was 1.3 and at station 3 1.1. The Simpson index at station 8 was 0.7.
