Resumo:  This paper analyses the revision process of the EU Organic Regulation (EC) No. 2092/91. The first version of the revision of EU organic regulation was largely devel-oped without direct consultations with organic sector associations. This is certainly one of the reasons for the vehement criticism confronting the EU Commission in spring 2006. The concept of good governance can be helpful to judge the revision process from a broader perspective. In light of good governance, the principle of stakeholder involvement in the revision of the regulation has not always been ade-quately considered. From the authors point of view this principle should be a key principle in the further revisions.
