A synopsis of the 97 species of lichomolgid copepods known to be associated with tropical IndoPacific shallow-water alcyonaceans is given (Madagascar, New Caledonia, Moluccas, Philippines, and Enewetak Atoll). One new genus and 29 new species are included, distributed among the lichomolgid genera Acanthomolgus (2 new species), Alcyonomolgus (1), Colobomolgus (2), Critomolgus (3), Doridicola (5), Paradoridicola (7), Paramolgus (8), and Telestacicola (1). The alcyonacean hosts, numbering more than 100 species, include members of the genera Alcyonium, Anthelia, Capnella, Cespitularia, Cladiella, Dendronephthya, Heteroxenia, Lemnalia, Litophyton, Lobophytum, Nephthea, Paralemnalia, Parerythropodium, Sarcophyton, Sinularia, Siphonogorgia, Stereonephthya,... |

Two new clausidiid copepods of the genus Hemicyclops (Poecilostomatoida: Clausidiidae) associated with mud shrimps are described from Brazil: Hemicyclops caissarum sp. n. associated with Callichirus major (Say, 1808) from a beach in Santos and Hemicyclops sebastiani sp. n., in burrows of Callichirus guassutinga (Rodrigues, 1971) in São Sebastião. H. caissarum is closest to H. carinifer Humes, 1965 from Madagascar and H. sebastiani can be easily distinguished from all its congeners by the presence of a thick, densely plumose seta on the antennule segment 2, and the greatly enlarged tergal plate of the 4th pediger. New records of Hemicyclops subadhaerens Gooding, 1960 and Hemicyclops thalassius Vervoort & Ramirez, 1966 from the Brazilian coast are also... |

A new genus, Centobnaster, is proposed to accommodate a single female collected from deep water northeast of New Caledonia. Centobnaster humesi, new species, is placed in the family Erebonasteridae (Poecilostomatoida) on account of the distinct palp on the mandible and the external structure of the female genital system, comprising ventral paired copulatory pores and dorsolateral gonopores. Centobnaster is considered the most primitive poecilostomatoid copepod known today because of the combined presence of 7-segmented antennules, a separate palp and unmodified gnathobase on the mandible, ventrally located paired copulatory pores, and midventral fifth legs jointed by an intercoxal sclerite. Ergasilus urupaensissp. n.
