ABSTRACT: The Brazilian savana covers a quarter of the national Brazilian territory. About that, 127 millions he are possible for agricultural managerial, 48% were already absorved by productive process. So, the remainder is constituted by frontiers waiting for exploration, part of that was geographicaly placed in areas of North and Northeast regions of country. The area covered with Brazilian savanas, in Northeast region, is abour 361.858,8 km2, and refer to four state (Bahia, Piauí, Ceará and Maranhão). From 1.980 to 2.000, the grain and the oleaginous production, in that region, ocuped about 1.859,4 thousands ha. Roice was the main production, followed by corn and soy.
