| A mamoneira é uma oleaginosa de relevante importância econômica e social, de grande relevância para a economia da região Nordeste, por fixar mão de obra, evitando a evasão de divisas. Foram estudados diferentes aspectos do manejo da cultura da mamona, visando à otimização do uso da água e do rendimento da mamona, no primeiro e segundo ciclos de produção, sendo este último obtido após uma drástica poda da planta no final do primeiro ciclo. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida no campo em Lagoa Seca-PB. | A irrigação é de grande importância para a produção de alimentos, e acredita-se que ela seja responsável por boa parte da produção agrícola mundial, mas é grande consumidora de água doce, principalmente na irrigação por aspersão. O objetivo desta pesquisa é avaliar a redução do custo da energia elétrica para irrigação, por meio de sistema automatizado de controle de velocidade em pivô central instalado em encosta. Para tal, foi dimensionado um pivô central com raio de 56,4 metros com 10 emissores com pressão de serviço de 137,8 kPa, representando uma área irrigada de 1,3 ha, e a lâmina bruta de irrigação adotada foi de 10 mm dia-1. | The present study was conducted at the Department of Rural Engineering and the Department of Animal Morphology and Physiology of FCAV/Unesp, Jaboticabal, SP, Brazil. The objective was to verify the influence of roof slope, exposure and roofing material on the internal temperature of reduced models of animal production facilities. For the development of the research, 48 reduced and dissemble models with dimensions 1.00 × 1.00 × 0.50 m were used. The roof was shed-type, and the models faced to the North or South directions, with 24 models for each side of exposure. Ceramic, galvanized-steel and fibro tiles were used to build the roofs. | The current study intended to determine the optimum water depth, yield and evapotranspiration (ETc) for bean cultivars. The experiment was conducted in the Campus of Unit I of the Triângulo Mineiro Federal Education and Technology Institute in Uberaba, MG, in a completely randomized design with three replications. The treatments consisted of four water-replacing levels in the soil (70, 100, 130 and 160% of the crop evapotranspiration) and four bean cultivars (Pérola, BRSMG Madrepérola, BRSMG Majestoso and IAC Alvorada). | O objetivo deste trabalho foi utilizar técnicas de georreferenciamento e de geoestatística para analisar a variabilidade espacial da força de desprendimento de frutos de cafeeiros por meio de semivariogramas e pela interpolação por krigagem. O trabalho foi conduzido no município de Três Pontas - MG, Brasil. A força de desprendimento dos frutos verdes e de cerejas dos cafeeiros foi obtida por meio de um protótipo de dinamômetro em pontos georreferenciados. | Based on experimental tests, it was obtained the equations for drying, equilibrium moisture content, latent heat of vaporization of water contained in the product and the equation of specific heat of cassava starch pellets, essential parameters for realizing modeling and mathematical simulation of mechanical drying of cassava starch for a new technique proposed, consisting of preformed by pelleting and subsequent artificial drying of starch pellets.
