| This work aimed to study the agronomic performance and capacity of nutrient removal by bermudagrass (Cynodon spp.) and cattail (Typha sp.) when grown in constructed wetlands systems (CWSs) of vertical and horizontal flow, respectively, used in the post-treatment of swine breeding wastewater (ARS). The average yield of dry matter (DM) of bermudagrass in sections of 60-day interval ranged from 14 to 43 t ha-1, while the cultivated cattail produced in a single cut after 200 days of cultivation between 45 and 67 t ha-1 of DM. | Embora o uso de lagoas de tratamento seja uma tecnologia amplamente conhecida e utilizada para resíduos orgânicos, no caso específico dos resíduos líquidos da industrialização da mandioca, as experiências são reduzidas. | Este trabalho teve o objetivo de avaliar o ambiente térmico e o ruído em celas de maternidade para suínos com divisórias de alvenaria ou com rochas de ardósia. Para as medidas das variáveis de conforto térmico e de ruídos, utilizaram-se de termômetros e decibelímetro. No interior das celas e para a análise estatística, foram usados doze matrizes e cento e trinta e nove leitões, distribuídos em delineamento em blocos casualizados, em esquema de parcelas subdivididas. | O objetivo do trabalho foi caracterizar o consumo de energia na implantação, condução, fenação e armazenamento, assim como a eficiência energética do Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers, em sistema intensivo de produção de leite, na região de Coronel Pacheco - MG, sendo utilizados dados coletados pela Embrapa Gado de Leite, em média de sete anos. The experiment compared three treatments: pen with water depth, pen with partially slotted floor on the sides, and pen with partially slotted floor on sides and in the center. | Visando avaliar a sustentabilidade em um sistema de produção de suínos em terminação, realizou-se estudo de eficiência energética, através do acompanhamento de um lote de 120 dias, em sistema comercial, em Ouro Verde do Oeste, PR. | Objetivou-se, com o presente trabalho, comparar o uso de cama de colchão de borracha e de areia no recobrimento da superfície de baias para confinamento tipo free-stall. Foram monitoradas 18 vacas holandesas confinadas em galpão modelo free-stall cujas baias foram recobertas com camas de areia e colchão de borracha (tratamentos). O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados.
